i'm not rushing things, i just wanted to make sure this was normal... Comparing, okay i did alittle bit, but.. i know girls and boys are way different in growth and things...
but, he's got a dentist and he's had prior work done, his had 8 cavities and had to put 2 silver caps on already... that boy brushes his teeth all the time, morning and night.

My son didn't lose his baby teeth. They had to be pulled when the adult teeth started coming in (this also happened with my niece). If you don't take the baby teeth out, it not only makes the adult teeth harder to keep clean but can throw them out of alignment. Baby teeth do not have long roots so it is minimal discomfort. Go to a child's dentist and get a professional opinion.

don't worry. Children all develop and change at their own pace. I was shocked to see my 5 year old lose her first tooth shortly after her birthday, but her new teeth were there and ready just like it should be Some kids are fast, some are slower. If your child is getting his regular checkups and X-Rays, his dentist will know if there are problems and you will know too. I highly doubt it though.

I began losing teeth at a late age. Most of my teeth actually had to be pulled by the dentist mainly because they had long roots and were really stubborn. I would consult a family dentist just to get his opinion.

He will probably lose his first tooth sometime this year. If his baby teeth came in late, then they will probably fall out late. If you are very worried about it then just ask your dentist. I think that both of my kids were 6, but my daughter may have already turned 7 when she lost her first one.

My son lost his first tooth at 5. It all depends on when they started getting in there teeth. If they got them late, they fall out later. My son lost his bottom 2 and is now working on #3 on the bottom. No tops yet . Nothing wrong!!!!

Children of all ages should start to loose their teeth from the ages 5-7. You said that your son brushes his teeth all the time try limiting the amount of sugar intake.

All kids loose their teeth when they are ready too. If they are not falling out on there own, the teeth coming in behind them will push the old ones out, or by coming in loosen the baby teeth. Don't worry mom, I have never seen an adult with baby teeth, have you? I am so glad you are taking good care of your childrens oral hygene.

well, by this point he should already have a dentist and the dentist can field any questions like this.
i know a little boy who is 7 and just lost his first tooth.
i would stop comparing kids, especially boys to girls and just take those milestones as they come.
next time he is in for a cleaning or flouride treatment, ask the dentist, or just give them a call and ask!!
don't be so eager....with inflation, the tooth fairy is very pricey!!!
take care:)

Typically, if the child cuts his baby teeth later, they will lose them later. My oldest daughter cut her first tooth at 10 months old. She didn't lose her first tooth until she was 7 1/2. My other daughter cut her first one at 3 months and she lost her first one at around 5 years old.
I wouldn't worry about it. Hope this helps.

Different kids lose teeth at different rates.
My son lost his first tooth right before he turned 6 years old. (Just a week or two before his bday.)
My middle daughter lost her first tooth when she was about 5.5 years old.
My youngest is almost 4 so she hasn't started losing teeth yet.
A friend's son lost his first tooth at his 5th birthday party.
