I had my first child at 24... I wish I had started earlier, so as to grow with them and still be young enough to part of their lives as they got older. My children are the best thing in the world; I didn't start nursing until I had two young kids at 4 and 2 yrs of age. I don't regret that, I have my career now, they are on their own and everything worked out just fine.

Personally I don't think any time is better. A woman just gave birth to a Child and she is aged 67. Who's to say who is better. Each child has different needs. Some people are so young it is like children having children, but then some of these children are probably well suited to caring for the children.
If you can provide the live, care ,attention and the needs ( not wants) of the children you have, then thats the age for you. If you can't provide the above for the children you have, then you have no business having children. But then, who's to say that the children will not turn out great through the most dreadful hardships. Each Child, each gift of life you care for is individual, and has individual needs.

I just always knew I wanted to be done with having kids by the time I was thirty and I was (25 with my first and 27 with my second). Of course, I have never been a career driven person, so it wasn't a hard decision to make. Besides, I'll only be in my forties when my kids move out. I can have a career then!

I had my first child at 18, Im 22 now and have 3 children. Im also starting to go to college and getting my familys life on track. From my expericence it would have been easier to wait. Right now im having a hard time finding a sitter that i can afford. I would wait if i could do it all over again.

I had my first child when I was 27, I'm 40 years old..& I just had another baby 3 months ago. Children are a blessing, no matter what age you have them! I have a pretty decent job which is important also.

It depends on you. My husband and I have two girls at 24 and we own our own home, have a college education, a 401k each, and are happy that we get to grow with our children and see our grandchildren, and even our great-grandchildren! I have some women at work that are getting pregnant at like almost 40 with their first child and they aren't as energetic and are tired faster. I recommend finishing college at least, and don't look but just wait until there is a man that comes in your life and loves you and treats you good. Base it rather on your situation when to start your family, oppose to focusing solely on age. (I was 18 with my first and 22 with my second!) Good luck to you!

It depends from your position and situation.
Generally it's better to have children as soon as possible, while the couple is young!
But, if a baby could be an economical problem for family budget and your working position isn't safe, then just wait!

Ideally, you should wait to have kids. However, I don't know that this is what nature intended. After all, more and more people are having infertility issues, because they wait until they're 30 to have kids.

I had my first at 30 and I thought it was perfect timing for me, but I worry about waiting too long for the next one, in case I have trouble.

I'm going to have children when I get married, so I should be a few years into my career by then

You should be settled in your life first...finacially and emotionally. Get all of your partying and your wants out of the way and then dedicate your life to your kids. I was 25 years old when i had my first and 34 when i had my 2nd child and i was way more ready with my 2nd so to answer your question...after you are settled in your career...you will be much more happier and a better mother to your kids knowing you got what you wanted accomplished before the kids came.
