Okay, so you catch your 15 year old son with "girlie" pics on his computer. Okay, some of them are pretty gross, but guys will be guys and there was nothing showing bondage, abuse, etc. You look a little closer and some of the pics seem a little too amaturish and you realize that some of them are of teen aged girls who are your son's friends. One is even his girl friend clad in her boxers & bra. What should you do?

The pics of the girls he knows appear to be taken by the girls themselves (Self portraits in a mirror and things like that). I think they emailed them to him as a "present."

I probably should also add that the pictures were on a card which was stuck into *my* computer. His computer does not have internet access (and he pretty much killed the liklihood of ever getting internet access on his). He was in the process of deleting the history on my computer and inadvertently left the card stuck in the drive.

I am really more worried about these girls than your son. It is normal for a boy that age to have nudie pics, but you should talk to these girls. I wouldn't contact the parents unless you suspect they are sending them to strangers. Although the pics could still end up on some of these porn sites where the predators lurk.
I don't know how involved in your son's life you are, but you should have a heart to heart with these girls and have them realize how degrading (not to mention dangerous) it is to be doing this. Even if they are only sending them to your son, it is still not a good idea.

First, I have to ask what you were doing on your son's computer because you know he will wonder the same thing if you say anything. If you have an open realtionship with your son it should not be hard to explain to him that running into those pictures bothers you and you would prefer he did not have them there. If you don't you are going to have trouble explaining how you found them and that is going to shut down the communication altogether. In that case I would probably begin to reinstill in him that women deserve his respect. without ever mentioning the pictures and help him realize the inappropriateness of his actions on his own. Perhaps use a bare bottom picture on your desktop until he tells you he is uncomfortable with it being there, and then bring up the similarity in his girly pictures.

Your son is 15??? I would say it is time to put your foot down and stop this kind of action. Maybe try to scare him by informing him that having nudy pix of minors is illigel and he could get in real trouble. I would say take away his digital camera, and have a serious sit down with him. This is very inappropriate behavior for a 15 year old. I am not to sure why you are allowing your son so much free unsuprivised time to even have the opertunity to do these things. You better put a stop to this right now, before you end up with a teenage pregnancy or worse a law suit.

I would keep the computer in a public area of the house, and he would only be able to use it at certain times(when you're around). Remove parts(cords,ect) when you are not home. Please anonymously donate the pictures to the girls parents. They need to know what their daughter is doing so they can explain the ramifications of such actions. Your son doesn't need any visual effects, at 15 his imagination should suffice. Also I would rent a local library's' copy of a pregnancy/ birth video and set down with him while he watches it.Nothing like a good dose of reality.

Think you need to just get over it. Weren't you 15 at one time? Didn't you do things that your parents wouldn't approve of? Or were you just a perfect little angel that did nothing wrong and saved sex for marriage?

sorry, missed the part about the girls being underage. delete it and explain that you could go to jail for having those pictures on your computer. but other than that, boys will be boys.

here is a website that may help your son understand porn. the name sounds like something else, but it is geared towards teaching high schooler and college-age kids about porn. and how porn leads you down a wrong road in life. (non-judgemental, factual, cool hip website) I use this in our teen ministry, it is shocking how many kids believe porn is helpful and fun. as for the girl friend pix, I would show them to her parents. Girls think sex is all that, just look at what is on TV today.

Filter the computer. Move the computer to a room in the house that is open. Limit computer time. Ground him.

if u dont want ur son looking at porn anymore at ur computer, there are many variable softwares and free download progarms in online to prevent the kids to into aduit content websites. hope its help ya,
