I have been trying to see my son since Septemeber and his father hasn't let me see him. He continues to move and not leave an accurate address or phone number. If you have an answer to my question please let me know.

We all know that kids are the most wonderful things God put on Earth. But they also can make you turn red in a heartbeat with their wholesome honesty. Let's hear some good stories. Tell about a time that your child did something that you look back at now and laugh about.

someone they have recently moved in with? as a "mate", not a "room mate". living 3000 miles away so meeting them is not an option and your child has been/will be staying extended periods of time in thier house. keep in mind said child has special needs and is not able to share feelings on the matter, positive or negative.
and what would you think if the 'ex' just tried not to tell you at all?

I was in the store a few days ago. A woman with a baby came right up to me and asked
"How old are you?" I answered. "17." And she said "Your young." Then walked off like I was a slug or something. I have a son who is 12 months. A daughter who is 2 and pregnant with my 3rd who is a girl.

Before anyone passes judgment on me I live with my husband who is the father of all my kids. We have been married for a year and a half. We do not live off of welfare nor do our parents help us. We live in our OWN house which is big enough for us all to live comfortably. My children get what they need and we work and are still in school and going to college.

How do I deal with this? Am I the only one who thinks this is incredibly ignorant?

I've had to put her in time out for being disrespectful to my mother(her grandmother) then she went and told a big lie to her father. She won't stop throwing things on the ground. We went shopping today with my mother and she threw a big tantrum. I had to spank her twice. This just happened today. What should I do? Also she is 2 years old. However she does know right from wrong and she knows she isn't supposed to do this. I tried firmly telling her to stop. She hit me in the face and said "shut up momma" Also anti-spankers please do not force your views on you. The only spankings I do is a few smacks on the bottom or 1 hit on the hand. It usually get's their attention.

there has to be a way to speed up getting more mature. i'm 13 years old 4'11 and 80 lbs and i want to be bigger so my parents let me do more stuff. over the weekend they told me i was prepubesent and that is why they treat me like a kid. i found out what that means on here. they said i need to have a babysitter and why i have to go bed early and why i can't watch pg-13 movies. the only thing they do different with me then my younger 9 year old brother is they let me stay up until 9pm and he goes to bed at 8:30pm otherwise we get treated the exact same way. i even get the same amount of bathroom privacy as him. how do i speed up my growth? i am only 4 inches taller then him to. i want to be more mature looking so i will get treated like an adult. i am mature.

After having kids I started eating things I never thought I would like. There are also things I used to love that I will never touch again. I used to hate brocoli, but now I love it. I used to love going to McDonald's for a burger and fries. Now I opt for a chicken salad instead. Have any other women experienced something like this?

I am meeting my ex's new girlfriend (of a month and a hlf)this week because they are going on a trip with my three year old daughter (which I didn't really approve of so soon into their relationship but he talked me into allowing it) I want to be respectful and nice so not to start any drama and hurt out child. Should I just say "Hi" and act how you would act if it was a parent of your child's friend you meet before a sleepover or should I ask certain questions or anything?

My ex also my daughter fathers...is M.I.A for the moment. He knows that our daughter calls him everyday generally around the same time. So our daughter went to call him today. And She can't get threw to him. Not just like he didn't answer. She called His cell and there was a message on there that said it was disconnected. But that is werid because him and I share a cell plan...my phone works, anyways my daughter called his girlfriend to see if she knew where he was, and her cell is disconnected also. So then My daughter tried to call Her dads house...and that phone is disconnected as well. My daughter is really upset about this, and is afraid that something happened to her dad. I don't know what to tell her about the situation...she is 5 years old. She keeps telling me "dad left her and is not coming back" What should I do?

i am asking again to get a better answer. weeks ago i got in trouble for lying to my babysitter and smarting off. she told on me and the next morning my parents and they told me i had to sit in the corner for an hour in the living room and face the wall. this is like time out. i think it is babyish but my parents use it me my brother and sister. my brother and sister are 9 and 7 and i'm 13.

about 20 minutes later my brother wakes up and comes down stairs and starts borthing me and stuff so i got up and pushed him down into a table and said something bad to him. he tells my parents and my dad comes in and tells me i am getting a spanking. my brother is standing in the hall and i see him laughing. i argued with my dad and tell him it is not my fault but he didn't listen he carried me into my room, closed the door and spanked me and nothing happened to my brother at all. what can i do to get my brother in trouble?

Baby is nearly walking at 10 mos. and is literally into everything. Despite making our home as babysafe as possible, she can still get into trouble, attempts to access things that are taboo, etc. I find myself constantly saying "no" and redirecting her back to her toys (which she finds much less interesting than just about everything else.) She gets pretty mad, and it seems like most everything that interests her right now is off limits (usually because of a danger to her.) Anyone have a better way to dicipline that you've tested with children?
