My mother, sister, nephew were having lunch at a local restaurant and my nephew-then about 2 1/2 or 3 was misbehaving. My sister was becoming annoyed with his behavior gave him a good scolding. My nephew, always somewhat defiant, stood up in his chair, very loudly said"DON'T ELL AT ME, DON'T ELL AT ME!" My mother said my sisters face turned a incredibly deep shade of red. My nephew is 32 now and has a 3 year old daughter that is just as precocious.

This is funny now, but it definitely was not at the time. When my son was 2 and a half, we were having lunch with a good friend of my husband's. My son, point-blank, asked this man, "Why are you so fat?" My husband and I both turned white and couldn't say anything. Then we both blurted out something stupid and (luckily) the friend handled it well. He wasn't exactly happy about it, but there's not much you can do when children are just being honest.

I was in a store with my then 2 1/2 y.o. son waiting in line to pay. There was a family in line behind us in line with three very young children and a gray haired father. Well, my son starts yelling at the father "hi grampa, Hi Grampa, Hey Grampa!!!" And the guy is obviously ticked and trying to ignore him but I couldnt' get my son to stop! He finally just said Hi back to my son that ended it.

We were at the state fair and it was super crowded. My son was in his stroller and of course he grabs anything he can get his little hands on. Well, when we were standing in line a nice looking girl stood too close and my son reached up and grabbed her butt! She looked straight at my husband really mad, and was about to yell when she realized it was our son. She laughed it off, but I was still really embarrassed.

I heard my two year old daughter sneezing in the other room (and blessing herself accordingly) and went in the see if she was ok, only to find that she had shaken an ENTIRE bottle of baby powder all over the room. it was everywhere, it took my about an hour to clean everything and I still find it. But the image of her covered in powder baby powder upside-down, staring at me when I walked in will forever make me laugh.

At a resteraunt one evening a lady stood up and her rear happened to be right in my 3 year olds face, my daughter very loudly said "mommy look at that lady's BIG butt" I wanted to die.
