I need help.I'm almost 19,a mother of two girls, ages 4 and 3 and pregnant (in 7th month) with a girl.I'm not married and live alone with the kids(I had to leave home during my first pregnancy). The girls' fathers aren't able to help(one is unknown, other is in jail and the third is unknown again).I have problems with the children's discipline and I need a rest.I work from home and have decent money but I don't have friends, people who I can share the difficulties of being a single mother.I don't know how the other single parents get over the problems but I just cannot cope with everything.I have noone to leave the kids to and say "Look after them for a while,I need a rest".If anyone feels like me,you can write me and share some experience with being a single parent. My email is apokalipsisd@yahoo.com Please give any ideas of effective discipline for little children and ideas for restig while they are around?

I want between 4-6. I come from a family of 5. My mother also comes from a family of five, my dad from a family of 7, and my grandmother is one of 22. I also have 22 cousins. I want a very very big family. I would love to have triplets, but I don't that's not something that you plan doing, it just happens. How many kids do you want?

I have yet to find an adult that doesn't get angry, after a point, from being tickled. Most adults I know HATE being tickled at all. Could these angry reactions stem from being helplessly tickled as a child? The laughing caused by tickling is not VOLUNTARY, it is a reflex. Aren't there better and less dominating ways to make kids laugh?

I am a stay at home mommy of one and I tend to get really bored. I miss adult interaction. I don't have much money to go out shopping or anything. I was just curious what other mommys like me did to get out of the house or to make the time in the house more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with my daughter and playing with her but I still get bored sometimes.
I would join a mommy and me group or something but there is none where i live.

My question is what do you do with your child all day?

Do you think it's right for dads who don't spend time with their kids, don't provide for their children, don't really give a crap either way what what happens to their offspring, to complain about having to pay child support (which if the Mother has a decent job is inadequate anyhow)?

Please note:

Before everyone gets their panties in a bunch I'm not talking about all dads.... just the ones I described above.

I'd like to hear all sides of this story ---- what do you think?

If a woman has the ultimate say on whether she will be having a baby and she chooses to have the baby even if the man doesn't want it, should or shouldn't a man be able to chose whether he supports the child or not? Why or why not?

Also that his kid is the reason I don't want to come over?

Here is the situation. His child is three, I believe, and they don't believe in spanking. So spanking is out of the question. My wife and I go over to their house to watch football games. Well, while the FB game is going on this kid will scream at the top of his lungs to get attention, jump on the couch, jump on me, stand in front of the tv, play musical instruments, and dance just to get attention. Parents once in a LONG while will say something, or send him to his room.
However if they're in another room you can forget about him listening to you.
In one instance he jumped on me. I told him, "please don't do that, I don't like it". He looked me dead in the eye and jumped on me again. So I told him sternly, "Garrett, what did I tell you? Don't do it!". His father tells me, "say it nicely, he's sensitive". Now this kid can cry on command, he could prob. win a oscar.
How do tell the dad about the situation w/out offending?

few minutes the "spot" owner showed up and you were in the passenger seat waiting for owner of the car to come back...and the spot owner kept honking his horn and making a fuss, then decided that he was going to move the vehicle himself and let himself in the car and started it up and moved it...how pissed off would be???
Isnt this breaking and entering???

I mean he could have parked somewhere lese for a small bit.

What should I name a charity that my daughter and I are starting?
My 5 yr old and I have started what we are calling a bearraiser. She currently goes to a doctor that treats kids with cancer. This year we are collecting a specific bear for the kids to be given out before christmas. I am trying to come up with a kid friendly name to call ourselves. My daughters name is Emily but goes by emi. Please give me your ideas. If you are interested in reading more about it please feel free to take a look at my blog about it.

My daughter is 16 years old and doesn't need to be breastfed. I was finally able to break her from breastfeeding 4 months ago and I thought that she was ok with that. I came home from work early yesterday only to find my neighbor in my living room breastfeeding my daughter. She claimed that my daughter called her crying and hungry and refusing to eat her dinner. She said she didn't know what to do so she breastfed her to make her happy. What should I do?? Should I allow my neighbor to breastfeed my daughter or should I just breastfeed her myself?? Help please!

Why do people say you should wait until you 30's to have kids? THE doctors actually say it's healthier for a woman to have children between the ages of 17 and 29 because there is a higher risks for the mother the older she is. I am 19 years old and 5 months pregnant and my fiance and i are happy. i can't wait! I think i know more about child raising than some 30 year olds. i helped raise my 7 brothers and sisters after my mother passed away and i am apauled that people judge other people this way! I am also more financially stable than some 30 year olds!
