My twin sons are now almost 2 1/2 years old....i thought having twins would be so neat, they would be close, have each other to play with ect....but lately, they fight so much its hard to deal with them sometimes, and they fight over stupid things too! Like what color sippy you try to give them, or who gets to wear what sweater....but its probably not your parenting or else im messing up too! haha i think its a sibling thing!

it is because they are twins and boys, i have twin boys and they fight all the time too, i have one who is thoughtful and nice, and the other one walks all over everyone. siblings fight, but i think when they are twins, they do it even worse because they want the same things and they are in the same stage in life, like terrible 2's that i am going through, and i know i am a good parent and mine still fight one minute and are loving each other the next.

My friends twin boys fight all the time too. But when it comes to other people trying to pick a fight with one of them. The other one is there. Wouldn't worry about there boys.

I have 2 girls and 2 boys (not twins) and not a day goes by that one of them (if not all of them) are fighting. This is a normal thing for them to go through. It will help them out later on when they are older. Good luck. Just don't stress about it.

I have 3 boys and they constantly fight. Either all 3 of them at once or 2 of them together, it doesnt matter, there is always a fight going on. Drives me nuts. But that is what happens amongst siblings. I fought with my brother all the time. I couldnt stand him:) Of course now we love each other, but being kids is different. Its not your parenting skills.

It's part of human nature. I want this or I want that. Give me that. Hey don't do that. It goes on and on. It's definitely not because of your parenting. Both boys and girls do it, although boys tend to be rougher. All I can say is tell them that it is wrong. Keep in mind they're not going to stop even when they are 10. Teach them the goods and bads and you'll be fine. They will grow up and realize it's wrong.

Boys nature (for the most part but not always) is to pick, tease and as a result - fight, argue and throw fits.

The only way any amount of that could be your fault is if you sit back and giggle - or just ignore it. Somehow I do not picture you as ignoring it or encouraging it.

Pick your choice of correction and stick by it .., but please! As tempting as the thumbscrews are.., dont.

Sweetheart, they would be fighting whether you were the greatest parent on earth or if you were the worst parent on earth. Even if they were girls, they'd be fighting. It's nothing you can prevent from happening and it's almost impossible to stop when it does happen. You just have to let them work it out and encourage them to treat each other how they would want to be treated.

man i remember fighting with my brothers but of course i was the oldest and i still blame my parents for it, because my 3 younger brothers never fought with each other, it was always me against them. so yah that would be unusual but this is normal as long as it doesn't get too bad.

My brother used to regularly chase me around the house with knives, tennis raquets or anything he could to try to fight back. My mother had no effect no matter how hard she tried. My brother and I are good friends now that we're older.
