What is it that you're going to think when they come to you and tell you their considering a third go?

How do you react?

What if it's while you're having an argument with them?

Does that change weather or not you beleive them?

Just asking out of curiousity. For SLEEPING would you rather put your child in a crib or a play pen? And why?

I myself have never used a crib. At first it was because we couldn't afford to buy one. Someone bought us a pack-n-play. We used this as a bassinet. (By the way, a pack-n-play is a WONDERFUL bassinet. They have plenty of room to move around. And you can safely use it for longer than a regular bassinet.) We had intended on buying a crib when he got too big for the bassinet, but once the time came we just decided to use the bottom of the play pen. I know, a lot of people say it is unsafe. BUT my son is eight months old, and he has been sleeping in a play pen for a few months now. Nothing has EVER happened to make me worry. Honestly, I prefer the play pen to a crib any day. I was just wondering what other people's opinions were...?

I see some kids being raised by liberal, progressive, permissive parents and these kids look like they have demons, they always have these stupid smirks on their face, they never listen when their parent says do something, they laugh and test their parents, their eye seem like they are rolling back, there always fidgeting and just look delirious. It is really scary, like a whole generation has add. I think it is the result of a lack of discipline and some kind of connection to strange cartoons and other psychological input. What do you think?

I am a little concerned for my 5 year old. A couple of weeks ago he was complaining that his legs hurt. Also for the past 3 weeks or so, he constantly eats and drinks...from sun up to sun down. Do you think he has hit a growth spurt?

I'm 29 and just graduated from uni as a primary teacher. I'd like to go travelling but I also want to adopt (please dont give me any advice regarding this my mind is very made up!) Anyway I was wondering about the best way to go about it. Do you think I should go travelling come back and then do it? Also I am unsure about where I am going to adopt from.......its very expensive to adopt from abroad, and I am thinking more along the lines of adopting with my local authority. Another problem is that I am still in student accomodation, so may need an established home environment before even trying it. Oh and Im also gay*. So as you can see everything is simple and easy with me!

*And get lost if you dont agree, my friends and family know I will make a great Dad!

Sometimes it is hard to give an appropiate answer when the question is very basic for example how to discipline a child which without the age can be hard to answer.

It has always been my plan to have one or two natural children, and adopt a baby girl from China (The conditions for female orphans in China are sickening, while not an ideal situation here, at least domestic orphans have their welfare secured.

Me and my fiancee are leaning towards only having one natural child, as we want to give them every opportunity that we did not have in life.

I had also originally planned to have my natural child first, and then adopt our second child, but now that we have set down and really thought this through, we think it might be more healthy to adopt first. We think this would help our baby girl, especially coming from a different culture, feel just as much part of the family as our natural child, which might be hard if we added on to our family.

We also think that this would help our natural baby develop a normal sibling relationship with our adopted baby, as this would be all he/she would know.

Which do you think would be more healthy? Thanks!

my son who will be 11 months old jan 3rd, 2007 whines and cries a lot during the day. He is never really happy for long unless you are playing with him and i can not do that all day long, nor would i want too. I want him to play by himself as well. When my daughter who is now 8 was his age, she never was like that. It has nothing to do with him being hungry or tired cause he will do it within 15 minutes after being done eating or getting up. My sister tells me to ignore him and that is probably the best thing cause after i fed and change him, he should be allright but all he will do is whine and cry a lot during the day. It's like he is never happy.

My youngest children are starting full time nursery school in September they are the last of my children to start school, in some ways I am looking forward to it to have some time to myself, and to be able to do things I couldnt normally do having the twins with me, but part of me is dreading it as i know i'm going to miss them so much. From I was 17 years old till now I have had my children around me and its going to be so weird having time on my hands, i'd like to go to college and gain some qualifications and look for a job but having never worked (my partner has always provided for me financilally) I feel like my social confidence has been lost somewhere down the road, life for me has always centered around looking after my children and the prospect of getting out into the world meeting new people and new experiences terrifies me as I suffer from bad anxiety especially when put into an unfamiliar situation has anyone been in this position and what did you do about it?
