Also for Muslims: Can adoptive parents change the child's first name to a Muslim name?

I don't know of any sites, but adoption of older children should be fairly easy through your government (such as the ministry of family and children in BC). Many people want younger children, and the older children end up stuck in the system for a long period of time.

Change the muslim name of an older child.We adopted a dog and kept his name the same because that is all he knows.I'm not trying to be funny.I just think that is very cruel to take someone identity away from them.I would try going through a lawyer that handles adoptions just to be safe.

I believe you can legally change the child's name to whatever you want, but many people advise against it because their name is one thing that the birth parent(s) gave them that they can keep.

why not become a foster parent, you can also adopt your foster child in some cases.
