Absolutely - My 5 year old will eat 24 hours a day if he could and he says he knees and legs hurts. When I took him to the Dr he said he was in a growth spurt. Let him eat as much as he can - so as long as a good majorty is healthy food.

You could still grow more. A very few guys will experience a significant growth spurt at your age. Most will already had theirs by the time they reach 16 yrs. You could grow another 2 inches, 3 on an outside chance. Watch your eating habits because you said you have gained 21 lbs. this year. Especially so if the weight gain was from fat. A body mass index of 25 is considered overweight, yours is 25.9. If you are very muscular then the BMI does not apply.

sounds like it. The pains in the legs are common in a growth spurt. Mine get them all the time. Wait for the testosterone to kick in ...it should any day. WOW the seem to just be vibrating with energy. My son at 7 has just come out of that, apparently the amount of testosterone is the same as at puberty and it lasts till about 7

I just had a growth spurt with my 5 year old. I think he got 2-3 inches taller. Or his pants all shrunk, lol. Normally when a child eats like that they are growing physically.
Good Luck

He may have. Leg pain seems fairly common in children when they are growing fast. I would only be worried if he gets up a lot in the night to go to the bathroom, which can be a meaningful symptom, especially when combined with a craving for sugar. But if he is active and cheerful as well as hungry, he's probably just in a fast growth phase.
