the police and social services say they cannot help even though its against the law. should i leave her to find out life may not be so great wiyh him ...no money etc or take legal steps to get her back? if i do this how do i keep her at home she defies me if i say she cannot go out etc.

we are all going to the fairground on sunday i have told him that if he carries on behaving badly he will have to come to the fair but will not be allowed his pocket money therefore not go on anything is this too evil or should i go through with it also can anybody think of any suitable punishments for a 9 year old my friend suggested wiping his memory card from his PS2 !!!1

Well I kinda of a crybaby(and I aint afraid to share that with the world) and well I am 13 and me and my mom have the greatest relationship together and I lived with my mom for the summer and today I went back home with my dad and now that I am away from her I feel like I am falling apart and I feel like theres no heart in me its all fallen apart.I have to stay with my dad all School year and I just cant take it becuz for one I live with 5 bros 4 little 1 big and I am the only girl and it drives me insane! And for two my dad is going to get mad at me if I leave him he says its going to hurt his feelings and my bros wont have a sister. So I want to know whats wrong with me? And like when I am talking to my mom she will say alright well I g2g or I will let you go bye, I just dont wanna hang up and she lives 4 hrs away from me. I am really Scared not sleeping in the same house as my mom and I just feel like their is no soul or happy in me. Please help me!!!! :( :( :( :(

My daughter is 5 years old. She is starting kindergarten in a public school this year due to the fact that I cannot afford private schooling, and I do not have time to homeschool due to my two jobs(I am a single parent of two).

My concern is that at 5 years old she can already count as high as she pleases, she can add single and single/double digit numbers, she can subtract single digit numbers, she knows the phone numbers and addresses of almost everyone we know(some of which I don't even know the numbers), she is doing 1st Grade workbooks, and can read simple books(as well as some with up to 6 letter words). She is very advanced for her age and I would like to know if there is anything that I can do to esure that she is learning new things in school. I am afraid that she will get bored and in turn dislike school. I would like to see her advance at a level that is appropriate for her learning abilities. Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone have any advice??

My 9 year old son went with a neighbor boy and illegally entered someone elses home and took their toys, ate their food, and played the game stations while they were on vacation. The wind blew open the door, so they didn't break in. The family is one that we know well, this has been very embarrassing for me as a mother. I thought I taught him better, How would all you parents out there handle this situation.

The police have been notified by the caretakers of the house while the owners are away. The police left the decision to prosicute up to the owners. What should I do?

I have a 5 year old daughter and a four month old son. My daughter is very excited about being a big sister and is constantly wanting to help with the baby. She wants to hold him and feed him and carry him around. She even wants to sleep with him. My problem is that I am very "protective" over him and I am scared that she won't be as gentle as she should, or maybe I don't know why I am so protective. How do help her feel included while not making myself have a nervous break down over it? I don't want to hurt her feelings as this is her first baby brother.

My youngest daughter loves to get dirty, she puts everything into her mouth. I know that as a parent I should be wary of what she puts into her mouth but I can't watch her every second. If she was to eat a hand full of dirt or eat something off the kitchen floor should I panic or will kids be kids? My first daughter hates to be dirty and was never the type to eat everything in site so this is new to me. Help!

Does this offend anyone else? Sometimes the term makes me feel like I'm just along for the ride or something, I think that step-parenting is harder than raising your own kids. I don't ask my stepsons to call me "Mom", they usually do when they want something, LOL. Any thoughts???

baby had a broken clavicle? did the baby have to wear a brace? I have heard that the baby doesn't need to wear one but others say yes. I just want to know the experiences of other moms. the doctor did not break it. It broke on it's own during birth.

Hi I'm a 21 year old NYU student who plans on being celibate (virgin) his whole life. This is not for religious (I'm an agnostic) or physical reasons (I'm a perfectly healthy smart male). I find myself to be a much powerful person mentally when I supress strong sexual desires and am closer to purity.

I plan on having children, by cloning, in 20 years when I'm around 40. Hopefully cloning will be available in 20 years - but I doubt that it will be available in this country. It will probably be available in China because they seem to be the most technologically and ethically progressive. I just dont understand why people have such a problem with cloning. Like I said Im an agnostic so religious reasons do not apply to me at all. When do you think this technology will become available? I think it can be considered important for someone to pass their own genes onto the next generation - therefore I would not adopt. I'd want my kid to have the same genetic structure as me. What can I do?

making my kids and the kids I babysit smell my feet as a punishment for wrong doings, I never over do it and they all don't seem to mind and it seems to be working and sometimes they make a game out of it. I think its a great idea

Well since it was Arabs that killed everyone in 9/11, why dont they just make a flight esp. for them only.
Keep them off the planes with white people or other.
I think this would work.
Dont get too offended if your an Arab, blame your people not us.
I would say the same thing if were white men who were invovled in 9/11.
Airport security is so riduclous now, I mean when are they going to forbid tampons from coming on a plane???

I like watching the fresh prince of bell air, and the commercials come one with previews of shows like "degrassi" and they show boys kissing eachother, kids having sex, and things that kids should not be seeing. and also it is only rated PG. I think that is disgusting. what has kids show come to?? they are just teaching kids to have sex, and sin. does anyone feel the same way i do??
