making my kids and the kids I babysit smell my feet as a punishment for wrong doings, I never over do it and they all don't seem to mind and it seems to be working and sometimes they make a game out of it. I think its a great idea

It might seem to work but what are they actually learning? The punishment should fit the crime so that they get something out of it. If they are making it into a game then I don't know that it is really an effective punishment.

You don't have to physically abuse children in any way to discipline. Making them smell your feet could cause psychological problems in the future. The kids you babysit are not yours so check with their parents.

It depends on how you phrase it. Do you use a joking tone when you ask that? It might be that you stumbled on a great diversion for the kids to redirect their inappropriate behavior in a funny and humorous way.

It only takes one person to twist things around and make you seem like a pervert, even though I'm sure you're not. If I were you, I'd find a more conventional consequence like time out. But keep your sense of humor!

if it's game to them it's not a punishment. I would not let you babysit it sounds like a sick foot fetish you get off on having kids smell your feet GROSS.
