Yes the instead cup the ring around it is big and a lil uncomfortable to insert but overall I like it as it lasts for 12 hours.its good if you want to have sex on your period..the bad thing is its a cup so it is messy..that is the down side. I have read its better then tampons as far as toxic shock though..

I have used Instead and I like it. I've considered buying a Diva cup but haven't gotten around to it.
Instead is much more comfortable than a tampon to wear. It is much messier to take out though. I haven't quite got that part work out well. You CAN urinate with it still in you though, so you don't necessarily need to deal with taking it out in public unless you think it's really full. (And with Instead you don't reuse it, you toss it after one use.)

I didn't care for either of those. If you are using them to have sex during your period (not on a very heavy day), I suggest you grab an old towel and throw it on the bed and use a condom. Then you can have fun and shower or bathe afterwords. I swear once you get over it, it really is no big deal.

I used the instead cup. I loved the protection, but I couldn't figure out how to remove it so I had to go to the doctor to have it removed.

These are very important! Tampons contain bleach and are made using dozens of other harful chemicals. Tampons (unless organic), are not advisable to use in such a sensitive area.

I've considered it but the only detterent was what about when i'm in a public bathroom and i have to rinse it out, i really wouldn't want to carry a little cup of menstrual blood to the sink and rinse it out in front of a bunch of people... and i don't consider toilet water an option.

I used Instead for a while and liked it. I tried a Diva, but, well, it kept popping out.

I have used instead. They are comfortable, but only work if your flow is very light. Gross to take out, too.

Those are kind of difficult. I tried. It hurt so I didn't put it all the way in.
