mentally tirednot just physically tired,,yes,,i think most mothers do,,the constant worrying you are doing things right, the effort of listening to the chorus of screaming, laughing, tearing about,,it all counts,,even a day out of fun can be so draining,,,,breaks are a must for any good parent i believe,,a bath without the knocking,,toilet without talking through the door,,peace,,what peace lol

Well.. I feel tired ALL the time. I get to go to bed at midnight.. and up again at 5 for the kids. My oldest son does not sleep much and he's only 4, so I can't let him wander the house.. that's too dangerous.
I think that I tend to work more in the afternoon. In the morning, the kids are pretty contented with breakfast and their cartoons, so I just putter a little bit. Clean up some toys, vaccum, do the breakfast dishes, and play with them.
The afternoon is a little more hectic. They've had time to trash the place, I have to make supper. The laundry is usually all done and needs folding. Sometimes I save the laundry for the evening so I can do something while I watch a tv show.. and not have to feel lazy for taking an hour to watch TV..
My kids are 1 and 4, and both require constant supervision.. and are totally hyperactive. The 1 year old has learned to climb on EVERYTHING.. and he's a daredevil.. my 4 year old constantly goes from 1 thing to another leaving destruction in his wake..
I'm tired.. so tired..

I am a full time teacher with a 9 year old and I feel tired all the time!!!!!!! Up > shower > Breakfast > drop off > school > duty > Pick up > tea > bath > bed > marking > bed ........ and so on the next day!
If you feel really tired get your GP to check you out for anemia, etc. If you have a mo.... "power nap" i.e. have a snooze but set your alarm for 30 minutes or you will feel worse. Sleep for under 30 minutes or over 2 hours at any time if you want to get the most benefit. here's to re-charging batteries!

YES!!!!! I am a single mother of a 3 year old...between raising him, work, 2 dogs, and taking care of the house...I need about 12 more hours in each day! I am self-employed, I try to work the most during the times my daycare is open...so I would say from 7:30am-6pm Tuesday through Friday is when I try to do the most work. If I know I will be working til 5:30pm, I won't take him to daycare til around 10:30am, and I if I take him in earlier, I pick him up earlier.

I remember taht constant feeling of longing to sleep for a week. I took vitamin tabs and think it did help a bit. The morning was the work as in housework time. That said with young children around it is always work time. Try if possible to build in me time. Can someone look after the children to allow you to do something just for you sometimes.....even if that might be sleep. Or say a facial, meet with a gilfriend and go to the shops.....anything....what ever you used to do to chill.
It's too easy for a mother to be lost in a round of domesticity and demands from others .

I tend to getting tired and lazy in the winter. If there is not snow on the ground and its just plain cold. In the summer however I have to much to do to be tired. I think when your bored you seem to become more tired then when you are busy.
Get up and take a walk. Have a great day if your not to tired.

I feel tired a lot even though I have one and she is very easy. It is not the physical aspect of being tired, is the mental for me.
I always have my attention on what she is doing, never completely relax.
