-I have 6 neon tetras and 2 gold gouramis in a 37 gallon tank (minus gravel, plants, rocks- probably equals more like 32 gallons)

-I first noticed the ick late last night, and it is only in the beginning stages. It has infected all the tetra, but I'm not sure about the gouramis.

-The ammonia levels were previously high, so I cut out all feedings for the last 2 days, did a 25% water change and added Ammonia Clear tablets Thursday. I just brought it into a safe zone: .25

-I just completed a water change about 45 minutes ago; somewhere in between 25 and 33%.

-I bought "Ick Clear" tablets by Jungle. I also have aquarium salt and Stress Coat.

I bought a second hand fish tank. It doesn't leak, as I've tested it but it's a hexagonal one and the piece of glass that holds the lid up on the one side has broken off. I've now got a couple of pieces of glass which I want to glue on the keep the lid up. It will not be in contact with the water. Can anyone tell me if it will be safe to glue this glass on using super glue? Whether there would be any chemical seepage from the super glue that could contaminate the water? Or what other glue would be safe to use?

i cleaned my aquarium last saturday(25% water change and gravel cleaning). I tested for ammonia and nitrite today. nitrite did not make a reading on my scale and ammonia was just off of 0mg/L. I already have a rust color residue on my glass and some decorations. What could it be and how do i get rid of it?
I use an algae prevention aid (Jungle no more algae).
my light is on 10.5 hours a day

Hi!I had bought my first fishes 21 days ago. There were to 3 cm whole red body fishes and to angel fishes.I was told to feed them with 1 flex food everyday. But I gave them 1 food but one day only one fish ate up the whole. So I gave another and another and another till all ate food.(4 times)Next day when I went to feed them I saw from a distance the water is very cloudy. And one red fish had died.Really sad.But why did this happen. If it is due to overfeeding how many times shall I feed them. They are in a medium size bowl and four fishes.I have bought to more miniature fishes! They are blue and thir colour seems diff from diff angles?Whats their name?

We have 2 aquariums, a 26 gallon and a 10 gallon, that we have had for almost 3 months. Before we ever started stocking them with fish, we read the book recommended by the guy at the pet store (published by the Animal Planet network), which recommended a 50% water change weekly. Thus, that's what we've been doing. We test the water religiously and the levels of everything have remained in ideal ranges; our aquariums look great, the fish have terrific colors and generally seem very healthy and frisky. Yesterday, however, when the guy at the pet store found out we were doing this, he told us that we were not giving the biologicals time to set up, and that we should only change 10% out of each aquarium once a month. That seems like a LONG time to let fish waste build up at the bottom of the tank. Thus, my husband and I decided to bring it to Yahoo and see what everyone else has to say.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this!
