Recentlty I got 4 fish tanks and I really feel lucky about it but there is a problem. I dont know whether fishes feel my love for them. I think having a pet dog is more wonderful than having fishes because they only serve the purpose of decoration. Whats your opinion?

I have heard that fishes bring luck. I have got 2 fresh water aquariums in my basement and one salt water. Somebody told me that doing meditation and other healing therapies in the presence of fish can be very relaxing. Can you give me any site or online article or share your knowledge? I will be thankful to all the people who try. You can also tell your experince or opinion.

Hello everyone,
I have a Betta fish and I recently bought him a 10 gallon tank ( I like him alot )
I find that hes always getting "mad" at his refection in the glass, is there a way to stop the reflection? I dont want him getting stressed out too much.

or are there any other suggestions for what I can do to help him clam down.

Thank you

If I want to move a fishtank to somewhere else in my home, how do I do it? It's very heavy even though it's only a 10 Gallon, and it obviously can't be carried. Also, how would one move a fishtank to a new home? I was thinking of purchasing fish that last for a while, but I don't think I'll be in the same house for 15 years.

How often should I change my Betta's water completely? I don't understand the whole 50% 25% or that stuff. Could you explain that? And how do I go about changing him from his old water to the new water. I don't want to shock him. I have water conditioner.....Please help!

I feel so sad. I just figured out today that he probably has dropsy and I have given him an epsom salt bath and he seems to . . . not gonna make it. It makes me not want to get any more Betta's because I feel like I should've been able to save him. But I also feel bad just knowing about all those Betta's up there at Wal-Mart in those little bitty containers.

I just got my male betta fish today. He is in a 1/2 gallon tank right now. Is it true he wouln't live as long in this tank? I know I need to get a thermometer. Do I REALLY need to get a heater? And the same thing with a filtration system. I have Betta Bowl Conditioner. Is that the same thing? What else do I need to get???

I saw a question earlier about a Beta fish. I may be wrong, although I doubt it, that the advice the asker was given was so offbase. You only have to change the water in a tank no more than once a week. And then the most you should siphon out is 25%! You should NEVER, I repeat NEVER take out 50% 3 times per week. That answer is so wrong I couldn't believe the answerer believed it was the correct advice. Also, Beta fish are normally very lazy fish. If you don't believe me try placing another Beta next to your Beta's tank, but not in the SAME tank. They aren't called Siamese Fighting Fish for nothing. It's called Flarring!
That's how they are judged at fish shows.

Anyone with any good tips on having a male Betta for the first time? And why the heck does he look like he's in attack mode all of the time. He's not moving. Just in attack mode. Is he dying?

I really need to make a filter for my fry tank, because so far, they are so small that they will get sucked right up the filter. It has to be easy and affordable. Could you explain it really clearly please?

we built a pond approx 5 weeks ago, gradually getting new fish, now we have 3 gold fish, 3 shabunkins and 4 malasian koi. weve been feeding them on nishikoi, a general fish food. the water was a bit murky so we did water tests, the ph is fine, the amonia is a bit below normal but the nitrite is at a dangerous level. weve done the water changes and stopped feeding them ( 3 days now ) and its still really high, can anyone help ??????
