If I have 2 goldfish in a 20 gal tank with a filter. I know they slime the tank I have had them before. I just thought maybe if I had them in a bigger tank with a filter I wouldnt have to change it as much. Is it still gonna be just as much work? Maybe it's a bad idea

I've had guppies for quite a while now, and I thought if mabe i should get some neon tetras ( in a separate tank ). So what do you think- should I stick to the guppies, or get neon tetras, why?
I know all the general information about both types of fish, and would like to hear tips out of experience, and reasons for should I or shouldn't I move to neons.
Thanks ahead
-Liza

P.S- I know that Noen Tetras are more difficult to take care of than guppies, and that's one of the reasons I'm interested in getting them.

If they are all in the same tank will the larger eat the smaller? They are from the same lake but do not seem like the same type catfish. The larger one only eats from the bottom and hides all day, the small ones eat from the top of the water and the bottom and when they see you come near the tank they come right over to the side where you are. Any information about them would be greatly appreciated.

One of my goldfish has died and the other was at death's door. so we took it out and put it in fresh water. We buried the dead one and cleaned the tank throughly. Yesterday we put the other goldfish back in the tank. I came down this morning to find that the goldfish's tail had started to divide into strands, one by one these strands began to fall off. Now it's only got about 5 strands left (each one is as thin as a human hair.) Could anyone tell me what is happening to our beloved family pet?

Floating granules, Sinking Granules, Floating Flakes, Tubifex Worms??? or combination thereof?

They're living in an aquarium. I've had them for a while now and I just alternate between the various foods, but I'm wondering if anyone knew which one is the best for them.

We have two fish tanks in our home. One with just baby chichilids and the other with goldfishes and an algae eater. The problem is with the tank with the goldfish. We feed the algae eater his pellets, but a few times, I've caught him temporarily closely following this one goldfish(it's a medium sized goldfish that's black and has bubbley eyes). Any ideas to why this happens? Can someone please put my mind and ease or at least help me out?
