I've found that my guppy fry love to hide in floating plants on the -surface- of the tank. I simply bought some live bunch plants and let them float free on the water surface. The guppy fry can hide in the leaves, and still have very easy access to food.
As far as feeding, finely ground flake food works great (crush it between your fingers until it is small enough for the fry to eat).

Here is a web site that should answer most of your questions. One thing to watch out for is that the newborns have lots of places to hide in your tank...rocks, grass, etc. The other fish will eat them. Also, some babies can get sucked up into the filter and actually grow there. You should check your filter periodically or put the babies in a small tank (with an air filter) by themselves until they get bigger and can live with the larger fish. My sister raises guppies and sells them to a pet store for 50 cents each. You can also try to selectively breed them for different colorations and fins.

Buy them some baby guppy food and cross your fingers that they don't get eaten. If you don't already, make sure you have fake plants in the tank that are fluffy enough for the babies to hide in.

All you need is some plants, either live or fake, in the bottom of the tank so that they can hide. And when you put the food in the tank, drop it by where they are so they don't have to come out very far to eat. Other than that, they will be fine!

Be careful that you don't put it with the adults because they will eat them. I had a bad experience with that.
What I do is put a lot of plants for the babies to hide in or a bunch of rocks. They like to hide underneathe there.
Or when you clean the tank, carefully find the babies and put it in a separate tank. It is guaranteed that they probably won't die and plus, you get to watch them grow.
Hope that helps. =)

Put them separately from other big fish including their parents. Feed it with artemia or flake for babies.
