Help! She is pregnant and my guppy will eat her babies when they come. I tried putting her in another tank but she just gets depressed and same thing with the guppy. Any suggestions? And no, I can't afford a breeding net, no matter how cheap it is.

My brother caught a large mouth bass at the lake when it was a baby about 7 months ago. The fish was so small it was almost transparent. He put it in he 75 gallon fish tank at home and it has grown considerably. He says that when it gets a little bigger, he's gonna grill it. The fish has grown accustomed to him and his family and it even comes to the corner of the tank when it sees him. I get pissed every time he starts to talk about grilling his pet fish. Does this sound wrong to anyone else? Or am I too sensitive, I do eat fish myself.

I saw a question on a betta fish molting, and was wondering. What ar e the recognizable differences? I mean, I know that scale rot is a desease and molting is shedding (for lack of a better term), but i was wondering what the physical difference was?

Hello, I am buying a fish tank for my 5 year-old son. I have narrowed down my choices for a small tank to the All Glass mini-bow 2.5 gallon or the All glass mini bow 5 gallon. I have been researching and see that with such small tanks, it limits my options for fish. I want his tank to be colorful and I want 5-6 fish in it. (that's why i looked at a bigger tank) I love Male Bettas and they don't need as much space as other fish, but I am aware that they are very aggressive fish. What kind of fish could i put with a Male betta? Or is there another fish with flowing, colorful fins like a Male betta, but that is less aggressive?

No Goldfish!!!! They are to dirty and to much work.

hi, I have 2 happy male beta fish in a divider tank witch is a tank with a divider down the middle of the tank and one of my fish keeps on jumping from one side of the tank to the other side just to fight with the other male fish. I know that beta fish are suposed to jump, but he's done this numerouse times. I bought a girl fish to put with him so mabey he would stop, but he did it anyway. I just can't find the answer on the enternet. anwhere. please help me with your opinion.

I have been doing a lot of water changes to get my amonia levels lower in my tank, but I'm afraid that it is causing stress to my fish. I think that it gave them ick (which I've already treated) but I'm still worried that when I do more water changes it will get them sick again. If I get a stress coat supplement will it help?

Hey I wan't to know if I can breed my betta fish this way,with a tank under a gallon with out a heater or filter. Because when they are in the wild i dont think they have a filter in the water or they have a ceratain water temp. or all this supplies. I mean i know how to breed i already done 2 times. my tropical fish is always trying to eat my other fish that are smaller than him. but when i bought him i was told he wasnt a canibal towards other fish. if your an expert or have experienced this problem please tell me. and soon cause he is getting really aggresive.

I see pictures of beautiful betta fish with lots of cool colors. Dose petco sales good looking betta fish or petsmart or what other store.
And Last week I put in my female betta fish in the other side if the divider with the male for like 20 min. Then I took her out and she was a stripe up. And the next day she was still stripe up and today she is still stripe up. Does this mean that she is pergnate and if she is making eggs will she absorb them back becuz i dont have the right equipment to breed them yet.
