well tiger barbs like to be in groups of at leat 3,they ofen chase each other and it is normal and o.k. to do with each other--but if they don;t have other barbs to chase they usually will begin to chase other fish witch could stress your danios-- zebra danios inparticular they are a much smaller fish than a barb good luck!! you don't want to get too many fish either-- a good rule of thumb is 1in of fish needs 1 gallon of water. so when your barb grows to full size it should be about 3ins. or so so it needs about 3gallons of water and do the same for evey fish . if you over stock your tank it will slowly kill them they need room --plus it causes toxic wate ect. you should get a good fresh water aquarium book to learn more :)

Just make sure it is a community fish, or "friendly fish." Your danios are non-aggressive, and a more aggressive fish might eat them. Tiger barbs are considered semi-aggressive, so it's good that so far this one hasn't eaten any of your danios. I wouldn't get any more of them because the more you have the better chance you have of them turning aggressive. Just make sure that whatever you get you don't exceed the amount of fish that your tank should hold. It shouldn't be more than one inch of fish per gallon of water.

Get a few more tiger barbs and then stop. Hex tanks , regardless of the gallonage, don't get much oxygen in the water and get crowded faster, even if it looks like there is lots of room.

stick with semi aggressive fish as thats what you have in your tank now. mostly barbs and danios, but some goraumis and some tetras can also be used. maybe even mollies, but that depends an how big they are. there are also different color tiger barbs . one kewl fish to add is the rainbow bosmanis or neon rainbow bosmanis, they are all schoolrs as are most danios and barbs. good luck!

I would suggest corydoras, get a few corydoras as they like to swim in school. They are peaceful fish and will always clean the bottom of your tank. Also, many variants to choose from.

What ever kind you want, but keep in mind you can't have too many. How many is often determined by the size of aquarium
