NO!!!! Oscars are south american cichlids and they have different water requirements than africans. Oscars can sometimes be very territorial as well as many different kinds of africans. One oscar needs a minimum of 55 gallons of swimming room so that only leaves like 20 gallons for the other fish that you want to put in it, take that into consideration when buying fish. Usually oscars like other oscars and jack dempseys.

Yes they can...I myself have a 150 gallon tank with a tiger oscar, 2 cobalt blue, 2 red zebra and 2 electric yellow cichlids. In addition I have 2 pleco's (sucker fish) ,2 syadontis catfish and 3 red-bellied pacu's. All are adults except the pacu's and have live together for well over a year or longer. So...to answer your question...Yes they can live together...just don't over crowd them. ou,ve got a big enough tank to support what you want easily. Hope this helps.

Generally, Oscars end up eating the Pleco or bullying it to death 75% of the time. If the Oscar is mean from the time you purchase it when it's small, like3-4", could place with average African Cichlid. If you have a passive Oscar and it is small, then could place with Yellow Labs and Pleco. Sometimes fish of every type make a liar of us pet shop owners.

Yes, they can, but remember cichlids are very territorial so need plenty of room to establish individual territories. Oscars also grow to be more than a foot long, and are very messy fish. Like your first answerer said, you need to have a big tank to keep them in. At least 75 gallons.

Yes they can just make sure that the oscar is put in after or at the same time the other cichlids. And suckerfish really dont bother a thing and will get to be a good size in your large tank.

In a large enough tank, yes.
You will need at least a 75-gallon for everyone to be even remotely comfortable, though.

the following is my suggestion to you. It appears like your Betta has had a impressive homestead in contact about himself for virtually a 12 months now. you're likely going to have better ends up in case you rearrange the tank first so it is new to him and under no circumstances all HIS and easily HIS territory. i imagine you need to bypass out and get a 20 or 25 gallon tank, with the right kit. As of now you have not any algae eating fish concepts. in case you improve, you could get: Otocinclus, it is a Catfish no longer a Pleco. they're recommended a minimum of 20 gallons of waer and develop into about 2 inches. They do appropriate in communities, and they are probable your appropriate decision. save in ideas they ought to continually have something to eat. they could actual starve in case you do not supply them adequate foodstuff. Siamese Algae Eater, a fish which could develop into from 4 to 6 inchesand educate have a minimum of a 20 gallon tank. they're aggressive to their own species, so that you need to probable get merely one. Mollies. they're lively 4-6 inches swimmers who will eat algae. they're livebearers, so pay attention of children. that is amazingly uncomplicated to sex them even if, for it is merely an rather glaring distinction in fin structure. you could frequently purchase them at the same time as they're about 2inches. I have kept a Betta with youthful mollies previously yet under no circumstances tried retaining one with grownup Mollies. Bristlenose Pleco's may be an decision, yet probable aren't any further a wise one. some say 20 gallons, some say 30-35, some say fifty 5. They get about 5-6inches. in case you do not choose to improve your tank, you'll discover API's AlgaeFix at your LPS consisting of Petco or PetSmart.
