I have found pond pumps to be very poor hence I use a central heating pump.

This pumps water very well but not solids and so call pond pumps which claim to pump solids just block up.

Hope it helps.

i have fish in an aquarium but all the time i spent on fishy websites and ebay has taught me such a load of useful and what i thought was useless info up until now.
What i saw on Ebay was that Eheim filters are apparently the best and top selling brand for PONDS (these names popped up inbetween my advanced searches even though i was obviously after aquarium info) and i would stake my fave biscuits on it... (pls dont make me tell you wot they are just in case *wink*)

the ones i like are called mag drive pumps, they seem to last the longest, and are not to expensive. They are both internal and external.
