Fish can sometimes get infections or sickness like any other animal. You can go to a pet store and describe to the fish salesman what it looks like and you may be able to find some medicine that you can put in the water. Hope this helps!

The red areas on the goldfish's body or finds can be caused by several reasons. They can by due to poor water quality and low oxygen levels due to overcrowding. Also due to parasites, or bacterial infection. (septicemia)

Do a partial water change, check your filter. Most people think that goldfish are a relatively easy fish and can take a lot of abuse, but it really isn't true. They need extremely good water quality.

Your fish could have developed Ulcers.Without further details it's difficult to diagnose. Pet shops sell very good anti-ulcer treatment,I recommend you talk to a fish specialist, who may be able to help further. Also check the water temperature, and do not add new fish. A rise in tank temp. increases bacterial growth, this occurs in these extreme hot spells.
Aquarium-Salt is a useful product.

I think your goldfish is ready to lay eggs, best to leave other types of fish in another tank , keep the goldfishes together.

change da water every 3 day put half of cap of peroxide water, and take out carbon, and increase the air. Dont feed him for 24 hours. Take out the gravel, and the dirt that is under the gravel, then after 3 days, put cold water. Good luck:D

I have had goldfish before. The fish is probably fine. to explane the red markings it is probably just part of its natural coloring. Don't worry one bit.

If you have stones in the bottom of the tank, your fish could of scraped him/herself on them.
