It once was a problem for me until I got married and my wife finally had enough lol. Now all but two tanks are in a single room built for just that purpose. Little does she know the kids are about to claim an unused room in the basement for their breeding business LOL. Frankly I'll be glad to get that part of my fish room back.

HA HA HA! YES! I started with ONE 5 gallon tank in university when I had no TV.... Now have 13 aquariums ranging from 2.5 gallons to 90 gallons. I've bred MANY species and currently am just breeding bettas. I've joined multiple aquarium societies and taken a position as a fish expert in a pet store. I don't know who is worse me or my significant other! He fell in love with my tanks and his first was a 65 gallon and 6 weeks after that he got himself a 29 gallon! I don't know if addictive is a strong enough word!

We have cut down on having a tank in every room and now have a fish room and 4 "display" tanks throughout the house. We're currently making plans to expand the fish room....

I also have a couple of "fish friends" with the same problem. One of the aquarium societies I go to has an auction every month of things members bring in, I've seen people get fish at the auction and then go get a tank for them. That's how I started to keep Killies!

Yes, it's pretty common. I started out with a 10 gallon which I thought was big. It seemed to shrink pretty fast as I added fish, so I upgraded to a 20 gallon to fit all the fish I bought. Then I found this adorable figure 8 puffer I just had to have, so I had to set up the 10 gallon again. And now I have several tanks. For a while there I bred bettas, but that was just too much work for me.

Problem? No problem here, just no more room. It started with a 20g and has blown up to 700g. Only 3 tanks upstairs now though. Thank god I have a basement(fish room) LOL. My wife is OK with it, as long as I keep her SW and a FW she can control stock of(hehe, I "let" her put Clown loaches in with my Fronts). But I do have an old 2nd story(which I dont rent out the top floor), so I might just squeeze a 2nd "fish room" in soon? Dont tell my wife =).

I don't think it is much of a problem. If you are a fish lover, I would suggest joining a fish club. They offer discounts on fish and sometimes a whole club will get together for trips. I went once to a aquarium in Kentucky with a fish club.

I dont think that there is any thing wrong with this, fish are very beautiful and they are also very realaxing to look at. So I would say that you are a very relaxed person.
