My 10 inch silver arowana just know fliped out.. he started to jump rappid fire like 13 times and he never does that im really concerned cauz hes really mellow now what just happened what to do

my fish were infected external fluke, gill fluke, internal parasites, and fungus during past two three month, due to Hikary bio-pure blood worm been feed. fish now already removed to other tank, now I want know what can I use to sterilize that tank and filter.

i posted yesterday about my yellow labs possibly having ick. now they are not eating and the convicts are not eating either! usually i drop a tablet of frozen bloodworms in and they attack it! today i dropped one in and they didn't care. none of them went for it! is this because they are all sick? also i did loose a yellow lab last night due to their ick problem i guess. i will be going to the pet store and buying some ick medicine. anyone know where it is cheapest? wal-mart?

I have had 3 mollies now give birth, but for some reason 2 or 3 days later they have all died. They act healthy afterwards, and then when I turn on the light in the morning they are dead. The rest of my fish are healthy and their fry is healthy. I feel bad, and if it keeps happening I am going to have remove my 2 males to a smaller tank, but I really don't want to.

Ok, so a couple weeks ago my husband got a 20 gallon tank from someone he was working with and they gave him four fish to go with it: A silver dollar, two jellybean cichlids, and a little irredesent long-tailed minnow shaped one.

I knew the cichlids would grow big and we don't have room for a bigger tank so I know I'll have to find them a new home.

How fast do they grow? Right now one is just under 3.5 inches and the other is 4.5 inches.

All my fish are at the top of the tank like they need air. Its not even like they are swing around at the top they are putting there "noses"
on the water line and swiming around. My tank is perfectly clear.

My son has two fish in a smallish tank, I do not overfeed them, have put in a new filter and carry out regular weekly partial water changes yet the water is always deep yellow in colour, why? The fish seem to be ok but it doesnt look attractive and cant be doing them much good. My son does have a night light and the tank is in his room, could it be too much light? Can any body help?

About a week or so ago, the front end of my Betta swelled to be really big. I tried fasting it for a few days as well as feeding it cooked peas, but the swelling has still not gone down at all. Can anybody help me help my fish?? What else can I do?

My 20gal oscar tank got cloudy so i did a 30-40% water change. I put 2 tabs of ammonia clear and 3 teaspoons of easy balance in my tank. It's still cloudy and my fish looks as though it has ammonia burn what do i do? It's a white oscar and the fins on the bottom of it are black on the tips and from what i can see his gills are looking like a dark red...(ammonia burn?)

I noticed something strange around my goldfishes mouth. Its white and a bit stringy. I do not know if he just got something on his mouth or if he's sick.

Tests showed before water change....
Ammonia .25 ppm
Nitrate 20 ppm
Nitrite 1.0 ppm
Hardness 120 ppm
PH 6.6

I am setting this tank up for Angels....It's been cycling with 2 clown loaches and 2 silver dollars for 4 weeks.

I decided it was time for a water change........
I did a 50% water change since it had been almost 5 days since i did the last 10%.

This is the first time ive tested the tap water and the water in the tank after a water change. The tap water was off the charts on PH....i am using Mardels test strips (which i dont like test strips....got a master kit comming in the mail!!) and after i did the water change the PH was off the charts in the tank!!!

It went from 6.6 to off the chart (flouescent pink on the stick) and over the next about 4 or 5 hours its gradually went back down to 6.8 last night the last time i checked. I got up this morning and HAD to test it again and it was 6.4. What the heck?

My Betta (Brutus) is VERY bloated, and is not able to swim properly. my vet is out of town this week. Brutus is still able to get to his food, through bursts of a wobbly swim, but then he settles back down to the bottom of his bowl. i've had him for 3 yrs. i've NEVER seen him do this. it's scaring me. i don't know of any other vets in my VERY small town that know that much about fish. most are farm vets (large animal vets). i will be calling around, but if anyone knows what this could be i would really be grateful for any information.
