I just bought to danio zebra, fish and dont know how to figure out to them apart does anyone know?

One of my gouramis died last week from dropsy and now, another one has been showing signs of having dropsy! What should i do to treat him? Should i buy some medicated food for him AND/OR treat him with maracyn-two? Please help! Thank YOU!!!

My 29 gallon has 4 bettas (1 m, 3 f, very peaceful), 5 zebra danios, 2 black skirt tetras, 1 lone non-fin-nipping tiger barb, and 4 cories. I do water changes 2x per week. The tank is spotless...

How many more cories can I put in? I'll be getting peppered, albino, and panda cories.

Hi,
I want to breed shrimp, so im wondering what the best set up is. I would like to keep it in only one 10 gallon tank if possible, with either a divider or a breeders net(or both) So what would be best as far as what kinds of plants, how heavily planted, how much to section off for the babies, temperature, substrate, filtration, etc.

Ok i have like questions about ich.....um i suspected my fish had it because there was some type of slime or cottony stuff on the fish that i had found dead... thinking it was another parasite i went to the pet store and they gave me some green liquid that treats ich and aquarium salt...i have a 55 gallon tank and i had to put the fish in a 10 gallon to treat them...i emptied out the water in the big tank rinsed it out and filled it up again...along with that instant bacteria stuff(cycle), ich medication, aqarium salt, and a new plant...as for the fish what do i do with them! will daily doses of the medication kill off the ich
and they wont eat!!! and i dont want to risk putitng food in their just to make it dirtier because i didnt put the bio bag in the filter.. afraid that it would strip the chemicals....what do i do ..how do i know my bigger tank doesnt have ich! i am kind of mad because i bought some plecos in a pet store that i think had ich and i found both of them dead..

My husband is putting together a 75 gallon aqarium. He wants to put sand in it but so far all we can find is sand for salt water tanks. This is his big project so i'm trying to help him out and find things here and there. But so far no luck with the sand. Does anyone know if there is such sand for freshwater tanks. We have tried all the pet stores and he has researched on the net and from books. Please help if u know anything. Thanx

is it safe to take live sea animals from a local site and place them in my personal tank at home?
if so how do i go about removing the anenomes?

p.s. ( i know its not legal or safe to take live coral so please dont write me saying so...)

i think my fish are stressed! what do i do!? i have a 4ft marine tank. it was cycled for 5 weeks. then i added 2 clownfish. they were fine and settled in happily. after 2 weeks i got a foxface. and they were fine with him. he settled in after a few days and was happy. then today, after another 2 weeks, i got a dwarf angel- coral beauty. and it has stressed the clownfish.. they are no longer swiming around the tank as usual. but are at the top and wont come down. the foxface has gone a sort of whiter colour all over... but other than that is acting normal.. will they be ok. the water condition is perfect. i did a water change yesterday before i got them. amonia is pretty much zero. i will do another partial change tommorw. as i expected a tiney bit of amonia with a new fish.. ph normal, salinity normal, nitrates normal..
what should i do? i turned all the lights off to cause less stress. are they sick? will they settle? please anyone with advice would be greatly appreaciated!!

i have a female guppie that dropped alot of babies on thursday 1 like around 7 38 am i didnt want to leave the babys in the fish tank with the mother because she was eating them i move them into a small bowl they still alive i only have and air pump in it i was wondering if i needed a filter or something else because i dont want them to die what should i do?????

I wanted to do the across the top 5 inches of my 50 gallon tank with a one way mirrio so I can see TV from the kithen but stil have the back covered. will the mirror freak out the fish they are chiclids.
