Depends on breed. Single tailed fish up to 12 inches. Double tailed fish, well they can get 8 to 10 inches if housed and fed properly. China Dolls will never get big. Some fish just won't grow large. genetics dictates mostly, but how well they are cared for plays a part as well.

That would depend on the type. Some only grow to 3 inches while other (like the carp) can grow to over 3 feet. It will depend on the type of gold fish you have.
Novice fish keepers will tell you they grow to the size of their tank. Gold fish DO NOT. They will keep growing putting stress on the fish.

Most grow according to the size of their environment. I have seen some in outdoor ponds that were 18 inches long maybe a little more.

pretty much they will grow to the size of the tank.. by this i dont mean they will fill it but will grow as large as they can to make the most of their enviroment... my mum gave away a goldfish that was about 4" long, it was put into a huge pool and ended up massive.....
