You definitely need to get the really big, meaty ones. The scrawny ones are out of the question. I should think an oscar would do nicely. Unless, of course, it's a saltwater tank, and then I would suggest a nice grouper. Oh, and btw... it's a 40 gallon tank you troll...

Talipia is a rather invasive species that has wrought havok on australia in the past decade. The fish itself is a dark colour, and grows quite large. Doubtfully you would house this in a 40 gallon aquarium. (I'm sure you meant gallons, not pounds...).
These fish are generally used for consumption, though with use of medications manufactured for aquarium use, I would strongly urge you not to injest the meat of these fish.

Most people say that you should stay guppys plattys, or tetras for a community fish tank. If you choose ot have other fish that are more agressive, they should be relatively small compared to your community fish. Never put more than one male beta in a tank, they will kill each other.

Ew even though you're probably just kidding,
I wouldn't eat any fish from a pet store!
If you want to eat fish go buy fish that's prepared for humans.
Keep your fish tank fish and your eating fish seperate, please.

I think you need to be with the fish in the water. Then a big one will be sent to your family to let them know where you are.
