i know they eat them but how do you know.i also knw you have to take the fishes out until they are born any answers

goldfish don't get pregnant.
they lay eggs.

the eggs are scattered, or scattered around a breeding mop. the adults will eat the fry (babies) so shouldn't be in the same tank if you want the fry to survive.

I don't think there is a way of really knowing. Especially with goldfish and other egg layers. Live bearers are fairly easy to tell males from females and when they are pregnant. But with Goldfish it is next to impossible.

Or she gets fat and looks really ill in the mornings and starts to routinely berate the other male fish in the tank, perhaps?
