I am always glad to see young people inquiring about marine life. Yes it is safe to remove fish and invertebrates from the ocean. Remembering which species are allowed and which ones are not. Some coastal waters prohibit the removal of any sea life so be sure to check with local authorities before attempting to remove any ocean creatures.

Transportation may prove to be your largest mountain to climb. If you are prepared to transport these creatures remember to have your additional ocean water, a filter or pump, do not store them in the trunk on the ride home and check them often. Remember to add air to the water by pouring in the reserved ocean water. Unless you are using stress tabs individual bagging is not necessary. However, obtaining stress tabs from your local fish supplier will increase the chances for survival.

As was stated above, the threat of any parasites is slim to almost non-existant.

As I said when you asked this question 5 minutes ago,

YES you can take anemonies and fish from the ocean. I have done it.
As with my other answer, anemonies will just slip off the rock. They attach themselves but are easily slid off the rock or what ever they may be attached to, just break the suction.

Be sure you have a large enough container for transport. If you are traveling any distance, be sure to take a few gallons of sea water with you. Every so often you want to add new water creating dissolved oxygen to the travel tank. (I use a large cooler with a closed lid.)

Taking fish from the ocean or inlets poses no threat to your tank since ocean fish are more healthy than tank fish in general. The chance of parasites are slim and any other creatures such as sand fleas live brine shrimp fertalized fish eggs etc. are a bonus to your tank.

When you get home add ALL the water to your tank for a boost. Recharging as it were. There is nothing better for a salt tank than a taste of its true home.

Good luck.

I too have seen your other question.
DanielleZ is correct. Taking water and creatures directly from the ocean is the healthiest way to do so. Just remember some fish species are not allowed to be removed.

Anemone's can just be slipped off what ever they are attached to.

Remember, do not introduce too many new fish or inverts into your tank at one time.

Add all the water you have brought with you as well. As DanielleZ said it will boost your tank.

I would have to say no. You can go get a job in an aquarium if you feel the need to be so close to nature.

"A sea anemone usually attaches itself to rocks or coral. They have a central mouth which is surrounded by tentacles with nematocysts, stinging cells that paralyze and entangle small marine animals."

Not really. Many wild caught or collected specimens can have one or more dieseases or parasies that when in the wild they are able to deal with but in a tank can't really. You would have to be ready to treat for a wide variety of diseases.
