i posted yesterday about my yellow labs possibly having ick. now they are not eating and the convicts are not eating either! usually i drop a tablet of frozen bloodworms in and they attack it! today i dropped one in and they didn't care. none of them went for it! is this because they are all sick? also i did loose a yellow lab last night due to their ick problem i guess. i will be going to the pet store and buying some ick medicine. anyone know where it is cheapest? wal-mart?

Magicman has it right. Fish will stop eating, become lethargic and die because of ick. Ick needs to be cured at the very first signs. The best thing to do would be to get your self to a pet store asap and purchase the antibiotics needed. They are generally pretty chepa anywhere although Walmart is the cheapest.

Yes, th not eating would be due to illness. Walmart usualy has a good price on ick medication, just be sure to get the stuff with Malachite green in it, that works best. If I recall I answered your previous question about the ick and gave a good treatment involving salt and temperature in that answer. Be sure to try it and don't expect instant results from any of the treatments. It can take up to 2 weeks to cure ick, no matter what any medication says.

i agree with what the people above me said, you need medicine asap, i like the idea of malachite green, maybe some methylene blue in the water.. i think you should check your parameters, and maybe do a 20% water change if you had some dying fish in the tank to keep the ammonia down. Also i would keep the lighting down, as to not stress the fish anymore.
