While none of them will actually hurt your fish, glass is usually the best as it doesn't yellow over time like the other two choices would. It is also usually the cheapest. I would avoid plastic bowls as the yellow and crack with age.

not a bowl, but a glass tank would be best because bettas need a heater and with glass aquariums you can use a heater and the heat will stay in. And, acrylic is the same as plastic.

Doesn't matter just make sure the surface of the water is at the widest part of the bowl and its at least a gallon. Change all the water once a week. Get a general book on how to keep fish.

none, bowls are for fruit and ceral. the only kind of fish that should be in a bowl is tuna salad.

bowls are cruelty, and are outlawed in most european countries. fish that are small enough to fit in a bowl need heaters, fish that don't need heaters are too large for a bowl, and ALL fish should have filtration.

not to mention bowls are usually WAY over priced, a 1 gallon bowl at a pet store can often run $15, however, a 10gallon tank without a hood is only $10.

A glass fish tank would be more appropriate and it will keep your water cleaner.

Would suggest that you get a tank instead. you can can get a 2.5 gallon tank for $8 from petsmart and you betta will be much happier. You also need to realize that bettas are tropical fish and will need a heater if you want it to last any substantial period of time.

Glass since acrylic or plastic are made from substances which can leech into the fish's water. Glass in a natural substance (heated sand) which shouldn't hurt your fish at all.

There are bowls that are made for betas. But, to answer your question glass is better. I had my beta in a glass vase that you can get at Wal-Mart in the craft section and it does say that it is for betas.
