Steven N is right. Usually these fish are fine together. It is the Puffer that I would worry about more than the lion. The puffer can defend itself and blow up plus most fish will not eat puffers due to the bacteria that poison them. however the puffer can do serious damage to your lion by attacking it head first. (Not that it will. You make wake up one morning and find them in a no win situation. I love my puffers and they are all good natured.

I would not go with let's say a dog face since they have more smoothed skin and the lion will eat them.
Be sure to keep pleanty of shells in the tank for your puffer to chomp on to keep his teeth filed. I really don't see a problem, but it would not be my first choice of tank mates.

If anything went wrong it would be the other way around. Its Lionfish that can eat fish up to 2/3 its size. Both have very good defense systems. I'd say your good to go ,but I hope you have a very large tank, as the Lion can hit 14" and the puffer 16"+. I currently house 2 Dwarf Zebra Lionfish with a Sharpnose spotted puffer with no problems.

yeah it should be ok, but make sure the lion fish and the porcupine puffer are the same size.
