My lab is a little over 3 months now and he has plenty of chew toys, but I know he would love a real bone. I've heard they should be past a certain age before you can give them one. Is this true? How old exactly?

This may sound crazy ( I think so) but my mother's dog groomer told her that her dog has a skin yeast infection and suggested she buy an atheletes foot spray and put it on her dog? Has anyone on here ever heard of such a thing before? Her dog is a cockapoo mix and has been scratching a lot so she is trying anything she can to help the dog. I myself told her not to do every thing everyone tells her. Do you think this could harm the dog? By the way, the dog doesn't have fleas.

She is about 11 weeks old and is an American Bulldog. I tried calling the vet but they are not open. She was playing with another dog last night and dislocated her leg somehow. We put it back in place, and she limped for awhile, but seems to be fine now. She doesn't seem to be in any noticeable pain anymore, and is not limping. Should I be concerned, or should she be ok now? Anyone that knows anything, I would appericate it.

To my earlier question, I was advised to feed at 7-7:30, around noon and then at around 5. This means the puppy would empty his bowls somewhere around 8-9. I wonder whether a pup of this age be able to hold hunger till next feed at 7-7:30 in the morning? (NO OFFENCE INTENDED, just perplexed hence this question)

Yesterday at a park, I saw this guy who is a regular customer at my restaturant. I was surprise that he owns a lot of dogs. He have a doberman, shih tzu, pomerian, and two mutts that are as big as doberman and one that is medium size.

Why would anyone want that many dogs? Especially if they're well to do and in mid 20's?

The day before yesterday our Border Collie was spayed. I picked her up yesterday morning, brought her home, and made her rest all day long yesterday. How long should we wait before we start running and working her again? She's about to go stir crazy out there, but I don't want her stiches to pull out or anything. What should we do?

Why dont dog owners bother to pick up the mess that their four legged friends leave on the pavement?

I feel that this is a disgrace and reflects badly on dog owners.

My dog has to stay on the lead as she misbehaves, and I would love to let her off.
She is a 5 year old staffy cross.
She often wont come back to me if she sees something else she wants to head for, and is sometimes aggressive to some other dogs (and a couple of times has been aggressive to people, though only twice in 4 years)
Any ideas on how I can solve this problem....have tried socialisation classes with no luck.
