There is what people think of as "plenty of exercise", and there is what a lab puppy thinks of as "plenty of exercise". He needs a job, agility training would be good for him. He would probably like flyball, too.
As for chewing, consider doing the Kong feeding routine. You stuff a Kong with your dog's food, layering canned, dry, and maybe some treats, freeze it, then give it to your dog for his meal. The link below will tell you all about this if you are not familiar with this technic.
There is also a training technic called "nothing in life is free". I have heard many rave reviews over the results people have achieved with this technic.
Remember, a tired puppy is a happy puppy. If your pup is not tired enough to nap when you come home from walking / running / bicycling with him, he hasn't gotten enough exercise.

I have 2 dogs 14 and 9 months old both are still chewing i have tried the sprays i found they didn't work, try a mixture of salt and water made into a paste and paint it on very thick with a brush, wall, cupboards, doors any thing that is chewable looks a bit unsightly but does the trick they don't like the taste.
he could be chewing for another 6 months, you need to keep a eye on him and scold him when you catch him chewing, i put my dogs in a back room when i go out looks white with all the salt but has done the trick you could also buy a cage this would sort your problem .

If your dog gets enough exercise and attention it would not do this. 2 hours of exercise a day and firm consistent commands of no, and spending plenty of time with your dog should help. If it does not hire a trainer, if that doesn't work it could be bad breeding. But, remember he his a puppy and needs guidance. Good manners does not happen over night.

canines do not regularly do 'melancholy'. they are the two unwell, or as often is the case consisting of your new domestic dog, purely wanting time to comply with what's purely got here approximately to her. She replaced into ok in kennels simply by fact she knew the recurring, the place she replaced into, the persons she replaced into with etc. Now she's come remote from all that had grow to be well-known to her, and you don't be responsive to what scars being in a foul living house formerly might have left her with, that have been brought about back. supply her time!! do not anticipate her to play unavoidably yet - she desires to sit down down back and settle in. And learn how to have confidence you. If might help to ensure a number of her background, if it somewhat is primary. Ask the safeguard human beings. you may take her on your guy or woman vet for a wellbeing examine in spite of everything - she's in all probability had one with the safeguard earlier being sent living house, yet a minimum of it is going to set your concepts at relax to be responsive to she's not unwell. go away her to return to you - do not rigidity something. purely get her right into a recurring (like with little ones, canines thrive on understanding what's predicted of them) and at last i'm specific she'll be advantageous.

He will do.He is a working breed & they have active minds & lots of energy.Im afraid that he will continue to do this for years if you don't put him in a crate.I wouldn't bring a dog up these days without one.It teaches them to settle when you are absent. There is no way I would want to come home to ripped floors, holes in walls,& all the dogs mess.Crates have been used by dog professionals for years.I have all my dogs in crates when I go out.I know they are safe & settled.

Patience, observation and time. He/she will eventually out grow this type of behavior.
Good Luck!
By the way. I have a 5 month old black lab. Going through the exact same thing.

i would just say to keep him away from your prized possessions .. its really hard to keep dogs from chewing things .. so just keep him with his toys and other items .. and away from your couches and chairs .. etc.
