Are you attempting to fence the entire two acres? A single motor with electric fencing isn't going to work, you would need several motors to allow enough charge. Also, if the dog can jump and bump into the fence, it will not shock, as the dog has to be grounded for the fencing to work properly.

Have you considered maybe attaching a cable to the house, then stretch it back towards something like pole that it planted in the back. You could then put a small pully on the cable, then attach a chain to it. I've had to do this before. It gives your dog plenty of running room, and they're not in just one place. The bad thing about it is that you have to check on them constantly, to make sure they're not tangled up somewhere, especially in the summer months. Think about that. It worked well with me until I could put fence.

Most of these kits have an adjustment to make the shock come harder and earlier. But if your dog really wants to leave the yard you won't stop it with this setup. Tie him up if need be, I have a coon hound that would summon up her courage and make a mad dash over the wire and was Gone. Tie or fence that is your choice.
