I gave you that answer and the answer is yes! The feeding schedule I gave you has worked for me and for my pups for over 20 years. You don't say what breed your pup is so I gave the feeding schedule that is right for most medium to large breed pups.
You can e-mail me any time with anymore questions.
Read the question people. She's asking about feedings not taking the pup out for potty.

Puppies are not able to hold it....their bladders and bowels are not mature until they are adult dogs. That's why they have to be taken out frequently as part of their toilet training. Most dogs have to go by 20 minutes or less after eating or drinking.
Animals live by it's owner's schedule not by choice. If the puppy seems too hungry in the morning(Gobbling food) then feed it later in the evening and shift your times the rest of the day. You'll have to figure this one out. A vet once told me that people should never just feed their dogs once a day once the dog is out of puppyhood. The dog should either have dry food in a feeder that they can eat when they are hungry throughout the day . If they eat canned food they should be feed as often as you eat. Just make sure you divide the portions so that they receive (in total) the amount they are suppose to get in one day.If they become overweight, you can adjust accordingly.

Vets tell you to feed those times because they are suggesting that you get the puppy on a routine. If he knows that he eats at those times that is the time he will want to eat. A puppy of 10 weeks old probably could eat twice a day just a little larger amount. You could even feed him whenever you get up and a little before bed (giving him time to use the bathroom before you are asleep). It's one of those things that you just have to play with but remember that YOU are the boss. Hope this helps!

A young puppy may not be able to hold his bladder for more than four hours at a time, so keep your expectations reasonable. A good rule of thumb to use when potty training puppies: Your dog can hold his bladder for 1 hour for each month in his age. So if he is 3 months old, he can wait 3 hours between elimination opportunities

Well i think that you should free feed. You leave out the food all day and take it away around 7:00. and usually puppies can go all night without getting up!!

A puppy has to eliminate after every feeding.
They should call puppies "poopies"
Don't think of your puppy as a stuffed animal, but as a living thing.

No. They typically have to go every 4 hours. When they are older it's usually no problem.
