I have done my homework and considered other breeds but I am pretty set on this, and do not want to really order from them internet due to the horror stories. I am aware of the expense...but looking less than 1200.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't go to a pet store or use the internet for shipped dogs or even look in the newspaper. There's a site called Petfinder, www.petfinder.com, or contact a yorkie rescue group. Puppy mills crank out dogs like these by the hundreds, and their ill health and inhumane birthing are hideous. Have you done your homework about this breed and are you sure it fits into your life?

Please don't get a "teacup" or mini" Yorkie. One of the most common ways to get Yorkies down to the so called teacup size is through inbreeding and malnutrition which could lead to all sorts of costly medical issues down the road. The Yorkshire Terrier is a wonderful breed and tops out at around 7lbs so they are still a toy dog, just not in the novelty size that's now in fashion. To find a reputable breeder in your area, use the breeder refferal programs from the AKC and the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America.
