I have an almost 2 year-old Boxer girl who has several problems whenever we try and introduce her to other dogs:
a) She is very dominant and tries to make the other dog act submissively.
b) When she wants to play with another dog, she growls. I've been told that this is a "Boxer thing", but no other dogs get that she wants to play, rather than fight with them!

Does anyone know if Beasley is still alive? And if so, how old is he now and what does he do now, since he was typecast as Hooch? Has he done any other movies?

He took the puppy to the vet 2 months ago and she gave them some sort of oil 2 give to the dog once a day. That didn't work so now they've gone up to two pills and switched to a chicken and rice dog food. (pro-plan) They've tried to bathe the dog w/ special shampoo, but I think they bathe him to often, drying out his skin even more. What should he do? My bro said that its like the dog has really bad dandruff, and he is shedding all over the place, but he doesn't look sick or bald. ( is he just shedding 'cause he's scratching so much?) Please help.....my bro is a serious neat freak and he's just about ready to get rid of the dog if they can't fix this. Oh, they've also tried putting a oil/moisturizer directly on his skin and that didn't work either.

on a 3yr olds face. The father went hysterical and accused my dog of attacking his child. I vehemently denied that he had been attacked and apologised for the scractch. He then took his foot back and threatened to kick my dog. I said I would call the police as this WOULD be an attack and then he threatened to hit me (I had sworn at him by this point!). My pup was only saying hello and I was very sorry fory the accidental scratch but this reaction was full on and insane overreaction. Is this not further proof that there should be places to take our dogs without young children and reactive (psycho) parents?

I have a 9 month old puppy, she is half chihuaua and half miniature long haired terrier...she is soo adorable so dont think shes ugly! I taught her to sit very quick. It took a couple of days, she is very smart. I want to teach her to roll over and lay down, ya know a couple more simple things...she already fetches and comes to one of those dog whistles. What are some good tips on how to teach her. I work a lot so i cant be there all day everyday to do it....but i will give her the rest of my time.

She's a 6 year old golden retriever-white german shepard mutt and has been wetting her bed recently. Through the last few weeks she has been drinking lots of water and needing to go out to pee a lot. Now every couple nights her bed is wetted while she is sleeping on it. Is there something different than the other posts because she is drinking so much water? We have seen the vet, but didn't really get an answer.

I have come across several hostile parents while out with my dogs in pretty rural and popular dog walking areas. My dogs are friendly and used to children but still I have had aggresive parents telling me to get my dogs on the lead and get away from their children. I have a lab dog and lab cross b*tch who are lovely friendly dogs. It infuriates me that they choose to take family walks where they know there will be dogs but still get angry about it. As we have to keep dogs on leads in public areas (which I agree with) and places where dogs are not allowed (which I agree with) there should surely be placs to take our dogs, let them off the lead to have a good run without the hassle of parents getting irate and hysterical about it.How would I start a campaign for dog only - no children dog walking areas? Any thoughts or ideas? Please - no hostility, I have honestly had enough thank you.

My boyfriend and I are really considering adopting a puppy in a few weeks. I was wondering what the monthly costs would average. I know there are vet fees, food, snacks, toys ect. I just wanted some advice from a dog owner that could tell us alittle but more what to expect finacially. And if there are any breeds that we should or shouldn't look at it. Thanks :)

Well, I bought a pocket beagle 3 years ago, and those so called "health" problems DO NOT EXIST. She is perfectly fine. Yes she might have gotten bit by a scorpion, but that was her own fault.
Here is a picture of her if you don't believe me.

Sam and her Basset hound friend Chloe.

Some people who answer about pocket beagles don't even know what they are talking about. They DON'T own them so they would know. I don't know why someone would say something they don't even know about.
