Watch This Video
(TULSA, Okla.) February 21 - A Tulsa woman tries to save her dog from a pit bull but in the process she was attacked. The woman is recovering from injuries to her face.

FOX 23 News’ Emily Sinovic spoke to the pit bull's owner.

There's no mistaking the danger. All the signs and chain-link fences quickly become mere illusions of safety when a pit bull attacks.

The screaming was so horrific that everyone in the neighborhood came out. It was so bad neighbors thought somebody was getting killed.
Animal Control says the pit bull attacked the dachshund's owner when she tried to pull her dog from the pit bull's grip. She survived the bite. Her bottom lip is ripped off but neighbors worry about what will happen the next time http://www.fox23.com/mostpopular/story.aspx?content_id=4fc0e4dd-9359-496f-8871-bbbc52e5023b

It seems to be split all the way back to her paw. It seems to only be painful occasionally. How can this be prevented from happening again in the future? My dog and I both thank you for any knowledge that you can provide to help us fix this problem.

We were forced to let go of our beloved Bailey due to cancer this past Friday. My heart is broken. I wasn't prepared for this pain and emptiness. Everywhere I look reminds me of her. I can't cope with the reality that I will never see that sweet face again. I have waves of guilt, grief and cry all the time. I work at home and we have been together 24/7 since she was 5 weeks old. She would have been 9 in July. I try to convince myself that she is in a better place and the memories of her will comfort me, but it is little consolation. I don't want memories, I want her.

We took our dog to the vet last week with an eye infection. He prescribed eye ointment and we have a struggle putting it in , we have to muzzle our dog ( who normally isnt nasty ) and our dog goes into a frenzy. We are now coming to the end of the treatment but the infection isnt better. Has anyone ever been given tablets for their animals eye infection, or a sedative to calm the dog down ?
