My yellow lab hasn't gone into season for around a year. I want to breed her, but can't because of it. Advice please?

First of all how many heat cycles has she had. The best thing you can do is take her to the vet and have her check out.

She should be two years old before your breed her, but things do happen. One- you could have missed her heat cycle. Second she may never have another one. My dog had one heat and never had another one she is now 13 years old. Third if she never had a heat cycle she just might be running late and come into heat soon. Some dogs come in heat at six months other take longer..depends on the dog. But to be on the safe side you should take her to the vet and have her check out. They can tell you better than we can. You just might find she is running late. In either case you will know that she is fine.

How old is she, and how many times has she cycled previously? Some female dogs are very subtle about their heat. They may not bleed very much or else are very good at keeping themselves clean so that you don't even notice.
Definitely take her to her veterinarian, as you should be doing if you plan on breeding her. I would go into the standard anti-breeding lecture but I'm rather tired of it.
Good luck anyway!

Vet check and you really should not breed your dog. Your dog is no better then any other lab and everyone out there don't breed their dog.Having it fixed is healthier for it. And only professional breeders should breed . They know what qualities to breed.

Some dogs only come into season every 12-18 months, it is only an average that they come in every 6 months. They only thing that you can do is just wait for her to come in.

That's interesting and I haven't heard of this before. This could be serious. A possibility is she might be pregnant and her babys died and nothings happening. Take her to a vet right away!
