I have a 9 month old puppy, she is half chihuaua and half miniature long haired terrier...she is soo adorable so dont think shes ugly! I taught her to sit very quick. It took a couple of days, she is very smart. I want to teach her to roll over and lay down, ya know a couple more simple things...she already fetches and comes to one of those dog whistles. What are some good tips on how to teach her. I work a lot so i cant be there all day everyday to do it....but i will give her the rest of my time.

Even if you work a lot you only need to devote a few minutes each day.
Dogs do not have a great concentration/attention span so a few minutes is fine.
First, train her away from any distractions-other people/dogs etc.
Second train her one command at a time and don't move on until she has mastered this.
Use the same command each time -don't say 'down' one day and 'lie' the next.
Similarly if you live with a family tell them the command you are using so that they conform
Make training fun-don't scold but be patient
Remember that however intelligent she is ,some things will take longer than others and be prepared to accept some things she wont manage at all-Different breeds -different abilities and different dogs within the same breed -different talents
(My retriever is great for fetching my shoes-managed to learn that one in a day-but try to get him to push the door shut after him and he thinks I'm mad)
Use treats as a reward -not incentive otherwise dog is focussed on treat not you.
Train in a small area/space unless training dog to come from distance. This way you are able to get his attention more readily.
Make training fun and try to end on a 'high'/successful order.
be patient and if necessary repeat and repeat and repeat.
5-10 minutes a day is fine but do it every day
But from what you've already achieved I guess much of this is second nature to you and it should be you telling me not the other way around !!
Good Luck

Try using a clicker for training folled by a tiny morsel of meat or a treat and she will soon learn most tricks. To get her to lay down slowly lower the hand with the treat in near her nose until its on the ground and repeat the word 'down'. Use only one word commands and try and keep traing short and sweet. Youll get there. But have loads of fun with her
