If you mean how as in, what do they do that is loyal, than there are many answers. One way dogs are loyal is by their persistent protection of their home and masters. They often bark or growl at anyone who they feel may be intrusive or harmful. This may be annoying but it really is for the good of the owner. There have been many cases in which a dog has willingly taken bullets from burglars and suck for their owners. This, to me, is the greatest loyalty there is.

They will still love you when you yell at them, and they will protect you and do so without any training to make it attack.Plus they let you watch what you want to on T.V. they greet you at the door and do not complain of a headache. They will go for a walk with you and not sit on the couch all day.And service dogs will help in many ways and are not paid for it.They are sad when you are sad and happy when you are happy. They will sleep on the bare floor or bed and never pinch your nose to stop you from snoring. l really love my dog.

Dogs are bred that way. Their ancestor (the wolf) started coming around human tribes for scraps etc. The human started working w/ the wolf for hunting in which the wolf received rewards - the scraps etc and thus never really left.

Most dogs are bred for certain characteristics - loyalty, hunting, or just companionship.

They are supposed to stay with you and care for you and ect., but its just a saying these days. It used to be true but not really anymore. My dog most certainly isn't, but some can be. Not all dogs have those traits anymore.

That's what they were sent here for. They were put on our planet to help humans adjust and develop, and to protect them from the evil cats as they grow.
