These puppies are part AKC and I have a solid white, red and white with a black mask , both females and then I have one solid black and a black with a white ring around the neck, which are both males. I would like to know what I should charge and at what age can I sell them. Right now they are just over a week old.

The spots are all over her lower belly and inner thighs. There are some in a spot on both outter thighs and on the back of her hind legs. It seems as though they may itch. Is she allergic to something? Could it be the carpet? I don't have the money at this time to take her to the doctor. I just moved and the vets here are extrememly expensive! Please help!

By the time that I get home from work it is dark and cold outside, so I can't really take my dogs to the park like I do at least 2x a week when the weather is nice. I take them on walks, but usually cut them short at night.

My dogs are getting antsy, and causing mischief, lately. Especially the younger of the two, who is just over a year old. I think it is because they're not getting enough exercise, but I don't know how to help them burn their energy in the winter. Appreciate any suggestions.

My dog is only grouchy when he is sleeping. If he is sleeping on the couch and you accidentally touch him with your foot, he growls and gets off the couch. If he is sleeping on your pillow and you want him to move, he won't until you have to physically move him and even then he will growl and act like he is going to bite you, but hasn't yet. Any suggestions on what to do with him?? He is only two years old and i think as he gets older he will get even worse! He has been like this ever since he adopted him.

Is it possible, well I know it is, to give a dog too much Advantage? I recently gave our new puppy who I found a few fleas on her Advantage but because he is so hyper it was hard ministering it. I put some on the back of his neck and a few down the back of his back. But when I looked it looked like most got on his fur. So I gave him a whole nother vial on th back of his neck. I nested the bottle in between thefur and just squeezed. Nothing has happened to him but I just want to make sure the effectiveness is still there. We have a huge phobia about any kind of bugs, Hate them!!!!!

He still itches here and there doesn't seem to be a flea attack, I have combed him the best I can and don't see any or flea poop (lol)...not sure what the hitching can be from. He is a basset hound, maybe shedding? He itches and bites....

I got my beagle puppy last week. She is 20 weeks old, and I put her in a kennel when I am at work and at night. It is the right size - had someone check it out for me - but she still uses it instead of going outside. I always take her out first thing whenever I remove her from the kennel, and after mealtimes. For example: This morning I took her out first thing (nothing), then I came in and fed her, waited 10 minutes and took her out again (nothing). I put her in her kennel, ran upstairs to get dressed - 5-10 minutes, tops. When I got back, she had already gone both ways in her kennel. I took her out again - still nothing - but I don't understand why she holds it until she is back in her kennel. I have had to remove all blankets and toys because I was washing them 3 or 4 times a day. She is never in her kennel more than 4 hours, and I have her on a regular feeding and walking schedule. Any ideas of how to break her of this?

My puppy is 8 weeks old and I have had him for 3 days. Since I have had him there has been minimal whining, and when he does whine he usually wants food or to play. I gave him both of those and he still is whining. I know he has teeth coming in, could this be the reason? When I play with him he whines and it started this morning since he woke me up. Whats going on?!?

This is sort of in response to mcnatt's claims that we don't visit shelters or whatever. It's also because I recieved a call on the weekend from a lady with a BYB basset who's developed hypothyroid and she wanted advice from a "basset expert". My boss was amazed that I'd go to that effort for a dog I didn't breed.

I know, you're breeding outstanding specimens, physically and mentally superior, but what else?

For example, not only have I adopted shelter dogs myself (both basset and mixed-breed), I've pulled basset hounds from shelters for rescue, taken in bassets in need of shelter, fostered them until new homes could be found. I've also spent many hours counselling basset owners who purchased their dogs from pet stores or BYBs, 'cause those dogs don't have breeders that stand behind them. I've donated money and time to basset rescue (which takes in basset mixes as well, when they have the space). I've never turned away a basset in need.

My Pit Bull has dry skin and is itching all the time. He does not have fleas but he does have dandruff... What can I feed him that will help with the dry skin. I have special shampoo for dry skin but I do not know how well it works considering that everytime he gets a bath it drys out his skin even more. Any vitamins or foods you guys could recommend would be great!

Thanks.

I have cleaned and cleaned the carpet but it seems like the puppy keeps smelling around in the same spots and going to the bathroom there. What is the best deep-cleaning method to get the scent out so he will not want to go there anymore?

I currently live in the bay area(CA) so no out of state please. The puppies can be mixed. I am not necessarily looking for a pure breed. I want to raise the puppie with my kitten I will be getting in a few weeks.
