I know she's probably still stressed out from the adoption. She hasn't been eating much either. So I'm sure this has a lot to do with it. But she hasn't pooped AT ALL, despite the small handfuls of food and some treats she's eaten. What do I do? And at what point do I start to get really worried?

Hi,
My puppy swallowed my ring. The ring is not sharp or anything. So my question is should I take him to the vet? Or should I just wait for it to pass? He seems fine. But I'm not sure what I should do. Please help.

my daughter's 10 year old poodle has started pooping in the house again. The pile I found this morning, had blood in it. Not just blood, but some clots as well. I was thinking maybe just hemoroids at first, but after looking at it closer, there was blood all through the stool. Should we wait a few days and see if it stops, or call the vet now ? I say call the vet now, but my husband says to give it a few days. I am worried, as he is my daughter's dog and she received him from my mother-in-law before she passed. If something happens to him, my daughter will really be flipping out. Thanks in advance for any and all help you can give.

My bf got a puppy on Friday. I found out about it when I got home late at night. He said he wanted to surprise me, that's why he didn't tell me about it. I repeatedly told him in the past that I didn't want a puppy because we live in a small one bedroom apartment, and I didn't want to spend the money or time on it. I also told him that we ( actually he, since I won't have any part in taking care of it) cannot afford vet bills if the dog were to get sick. He understood, and he wants to get rid of it for those reasons, but at the same time he still wants to keep it. I want it out, he's pooping everywhere, and I LOATHE the smell of dog. It's a shame, the dog is cute as hell, but we just don't really have the resources or the room for it. I also work in a restaurant and don't want to have dog hair (it's a husky/chow mix) or dog smell on my clothes when I go to work.
Anyway, would it be a great surprise if I took the puppy to the SPCA or something like that while he was at work?

Please dont laugh as this is a serious question. We have breed double registered husky and malamute puppies for years, but this last year has been full of surprises.

Our pregnant malamute, due in 10 days, has 9 nipples. 9? 4 on one side and 5 on the other. This is very odd to me. She also has two very small bumps behind the first two nipple sets. (that doesnt worry me as I have seen many females with those, they go away after nursing)

Maybe I have just never noticed before, but 9 nipples seems odd as I can swear its always been even numbers up and down each side. I have heard the old wives tail about how many nipples equals how many puppies, but never once has it rang true.

I called my vet and they said thats nothing to bring her in for, he will see her after the birth (as long as nothing goes wrong)

Can someone tell me if this is normal? Please no downtalking or preaching, just want to hear from people that have heard of this or seen this before!

I heard on the news a long time ago that dogs and cats were dying mysteriously and owners couldn't figure out why. Well when the vets tested there blood during the Otopsy they found Anti-Freeze in there systems, an amimals worst enemy. Come to find out there was Anti-Freeze or something in the Swiffer Wer Jet that is used to make Anti-Freeze and when pet owners used the Swiffer Wet Jet on there floors around the pets food and water dishes it contaminated it and made the deathly ill, so I just wanted to know if anyone knew if it were true or not because I would really like to get one for my kitchen floor and I have 2 cats and if this is true I deffinitly wont gt one and I will pass the word on to people who own pets. Thanks a lot.

I have a 4 month old doberman puppy, and she will only go potty in the back yard (and in the house, but we're working on that!).

I can take her out for hours, and she will hold it, but once we get home, she'll let it all out. For some reason, she thinks it is the only place she can go.

Anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

the airport attendents later claimed that the baggage belt broke down,.even if this was the case, is it not proper to take in all the first class ticket holders that were in line at the time first,? .putting their baggage in a corner near the check out counter,.like they finally relized one and a half hours later when some people started to get frustrated of waiting,.do you also think that first class ticket holders pay for v.i.p. service when they buy their tickets,.,.
I won't mention the airline name to embarrass them, i feel it's a learning experience to all,.have you had similar airport experiances,.if so i would like to hear from you ,.send me an email,.,.??

good luck,.,. thank you

I mean i really want to know what people think. No one can even tell the difference between a pit and like 20 other breeds of dogs. I want to know how many people think that when they see a pit bull they will get attacked. And think that they should be banned and put to sleep as soon as they can be?
Well you should really rethink that if you feel that way. i have four pits, one staffie, and a mix (not sure what she is) and they are nothing but, 70lb. lap dogs. The biggest babies. My niece even rides on one of them. I work with people who have developmental disabilites and these dogs come to work with me. Their strangers to them but, they dont attack the love them they kiss kiss kiss them all the time. And the clients adore them.
I just dont understand how people do not want to even give these dogs a try. How people assume they are bad dogs when someone gets bit. Any dog can bite. How many people with punish the deed not the breed. Or do people truly think they should be ban

She had her puppies with no complications and everybody is doing great. Theres only one problem. My friends left 2 pints of ice cream out and since she devoured that ice cream she has had diareah. Its been about two and a half weeks and her diareah has not gone away. Could this be because she is nursing? Do i need to give her any suppliments while she is nursing? Should i give her fiber to harden her stool?...i need some answers so i can help take car of this once homeless mother...Thanks

I try to keep my two dogs (a black lab and a weimaraner) off the couch. But of course they hop up there every time I leave the room. Until I get them trained a little better, is there anything I can do to keep the couch from smelling like a dog? I vacuum it off every day and try to spray it with fabric freshener, so the smell isn't too bad. But I'm afraid over time, it will get worse. Any suggestions?

I adopted a dog yesterday. She's showing signs of being in early heat. For instance, when my other dog sniffs her rear end, she puts her tail up and moves it to the side.

I'm not dog-stupid...I work for PAWS and I'm educated for veterinary tech work, however, I do not have knowledge how to tell if a dog is spayed.

The shelter told me she was spayed. Is there some way to tell? One lady said to the other, "she's not spayed" and the other palpated her stomach and said, "yes she is, feel her stomach"...

I was unaware if there was any way to tell. If there is, please let me know. I am unsure whether or not I have a spayed dog.

I'm hopeful that I do, because I just neutered my male, but last night, after smelling her behind, he got too interested and attempted to breed her...and that was a sight, being as he was just neutered. Yuck!

Please let me know...this is a serious question. Please, no perverted answers. I really appreciate it.
