My 9mth old GSD has started to wee and poo in the house, she was going outside but has now started to do it in the house aswell. If i let her out she won't go unless i go out there with her, if i leave her out there she just jumps up at the door to come in. She is quite a timid dog and is a bit nervous and wees with excitment occasionally. Could she have a medical problem? I have recently gone back to work part time for 3 days of the week so she is on her own for 5 hrs a day, but she doesn't do it during the day she only seems to do it at night we are in bed. My husband gets up first and is starting to get on at me about the mess and the smell!!Please help!!

When you take you dog to the vets do you have to pay immediatly after treatment or can you pay in installments for a few weeks after???

My friend has a small breed dog about the sixe of a poodle. She has used many types of flea treatments, including Hot Spot,Frontline, and the good ole flea shampoos. The problem is he is still digging like crazy and no fleas are to be found. She says she has used products to treat dry skin and nothing ha helped the poor dog. He is not allergic to fleas either so I am out of reasons and ideas. If anyone has suggestions please share your advice!!

My Labby came out of the boarding kennels in heat for the very first time, my male is spayed and we have a fenced yard, but I am concerned that a dog may have gotten to her. I work full time and was unable to monitor her.
I need to know what to look out for, signs of pregnancy etc, my vet is currently on 14 days vacation, great timing, and I would feel better if I knew what to look out for.
Ever since she was in season she has had swollen nipples, but I do not know if this is normal or not. I think she is gaining weight, but that may just be me "thinking" she has.
For all of you who are 100% against animals not being spayed, can I just say that we only acquired her from another family a couple of months ago, and I fully intend to do this as soon as I have clarification from my vet that she is not pregnant.
I would appreciate any help you can give.

I have a chubby 4 year old Chihuahua. who's breath is worse then anything you'll ever smell in your life!! i have had many many animals and not 1 had breath like her!! I have tried everything i could think of; brushing her teeth, dog mints,dog breath strips and the only thing that ever worked was chew bones but when she gets ahold of them she runs to bed and never comes out and will bite anyone who comes near her.
have i skipped a step or something!?
help!!

Our dog was neutered a week and half ago, 2 fridays ago, and tonight we got a female and he went bizurk. He was able to become erect and we stopped him before penetration or anything, but it looked like he had stuff in there in a bubble...maybe something was occurring that shouldn't? Can a neutered dog orgasm? I am absolutely TOO embaressed to ask our vet. NO PERVERT ANSWERS PLEASE. Only serious answers, as we are in no way asking this to seem sexual or perverted.

Hi...
My dog is not the most tame out there..
She has earmites I am trying to treat, be she absolutely does NOT want the drops in.. she won't be restrained, she begins to bite and get extremely stressed, and I cannot get the drops in at all.

However, she lets me flea powder her, because she doesn't have the liquid feel running in her ear..


I'm wondering if there is ANY alternative to liquid ear drops to treat her?? Not all dogs are so relaxed about it, and I'm just so frustrated that every product out there is designed for freaking Lassie..

always i have two dogs one of them sleeps all the time and is really cute and lazy (bichon maltese) and one isa like a guard dog the slightest sound he wakes up i doubt he ever gets to sleep!! and hes really energetic (yorkie silky) so why does my bichon sleep and my yorkie sooo energetic

how do i keep my doberman from scratchin her stitches where she just got her ears cropped until i go in the mornin and get her an e collar? I cant sleep cause she keeps screaming when she hits her stitches, she has already hit one and made it bleed.

yesterday my husky was fine and happy,but today she is weak and very very sick. She keeps drinking tons of water and has problems getting up and walking(she's only got up on her own once) She is 11 years old and has never had this problem.

My friends dog had puppies and I adopted 2 of them, they are 9 weeks old, she didn't deworm them or gave them vaccinations, I just found out that puppies were supposed to be dewormed at different ages, is it too late to do that? also what else do I need to do other than deworming and vaccinations? also can I do this myself or do I have to bring them to the vet?

i have a lab/golden retreiver that absolutely hates water he wont even go out to the bathroom in the rain i never did anything to him with water except bath him and i dont make that chore horrible on him he will be 7 this month and i was wondering if this is a common problem he is soo bad he will walk around a water puddle dont get me wrong he does stay clean but he wont even go swimming or play in a creek or anything that has to do with water it is like he is allergic to it or something it has been rainy for the last couple days and i have to force him out (not physically) to go to the bathroom

I was getting the mail out of my mailbox this morning and 3 weiner dogs from across the street started to run at me barking. I could tell from the way their ears were flapping they were galloping fast. I barely made it to the house and grabbed my glock and 12 gauge to confront them. I opened fire on them before they got to me and one of them licked me. No doubt it was looking for an artery to sink it's fangs into so I wrestled it and it lunged for my face. I used my combat knife to bring it down. I never felt so close to death but now the owners are trying to sue me. Can they do that given how vicious they probably were? I have no doubt they intended to bring me down as weiner dogs are pack hunters.

Hi,

I have a 17 weeks old black lab. She was playing and running around with another puppy just fine yesterday afternoon and all of a sudden she collapsed on her side and vomited. She looked kind of dazed afterwards. We rushed her to the vet and they kept her for observation, gave her a couple x-rays (no obstructions), a shot of pepto and a couple shots of benedryl. She had a slight temp of 103.5, but they said after they gave her the benedryl the fever went away. So she's been home since last night and we've been keeping a close eye on her. She hasn't vomited since the one time and has no diarrhea, but is SOOOO lethargic. She has had some gas, but other then that she seems like she's digesting her food just fine. Has anything like this happened to anyone? Any suggestions on what may be wrong? Thanks!

I've had 3 bad dreams about my dogs now but the first one was by far the worst.
Early in the morning i saw that someone broke into my car so i went outside to check it out. Outside my husband was untangling a phone cord from one of my big dogs neck. I ran back inside to call the vet, when i saw my puppy lying on the ground in a plastic bag. I ripped the bag open, and went to the phone. When i turned around i saw a man sitting on my couch w/ blood running down his shirt. I didn't know what to do but scream. Then i woke up.
I think i've been dreaming about my dogs b/c i spend alot of time w/ them now that my husband is deployed. But never in my life have i had so many scary dreams, can someone please help me figure this out!!
