I've had 3 bad dreams about my dogs now but the first one was by far the worst.
Early in the morning i saw that someone broke into my car so i went outside to check it out. Outside my husband was untangling a phone cord from one of my big dogs neck. I ran back inside to call the vet, when i saw my puppy lying on the ground in a plastic bag. I ripped the bag open, and went to the phone. When i turned around i saw a man sitting on my couch w/ blood running down his shirt. I didn't know what to do but scream. Then i woke up.
I think i've been dreaming about my dogs b/c i spend alot of time w/ them now that my husband is deployed. But never in my life have i had so many scary dreams, can someone please help me figure this out!!

You feel vulnerable right now with your husband being gone, and your dogs are the only thing that make you feel safe. Because of that your fear of something happening to them, is manifesting itself in your dreams.

Your dreams are definetly a reflection of your subconcious feelings.
Someone breaking into your car.. someone has taken your husband from you.
The dogs being strangled and in a bag.... your fear that your husband may encounter life threatening dangers, you are afraid those things might happen to him.
The bloody man on the couch may symbolize that you see an enemy you don't know, they have caused so much pain and bloodshed and you are dealing with it because your husband is dealing with it. He's invaded your home, like the military taking your husband from you.

Please, first trust that this is normal. But, you really need support. Talk to your closest relatives, find a support group of other spouses with a soldier that is deployed.
By sharing your fears and burdens you can gain inner strength to get through this time. Churches often have support groups.

Also, try to exercise every day. You are worrying all the time and the exercise is a way for your body to burn off the bad chemicals the stress has been building. If done every day, 20-30 minutes, you may find much better sleep.

Lastly, if those things do not help, talk to your physician. There are sleep aids and/or anxiety meds that can offer you a restfull night of sleep.

My husband is military also and not having him around for extended periods of time can make your mind have alot to think about. Is he ok? What is he doing right now? Missing him has brought you closer to your animals to help comfort your spirit. Now since he is not home and the dogs are all you have for now maybe you fear them leaving or being taken away also and it shows in your dreams that someone is hurting them. The mind switch's things around in your dreams and they are not always what they appear. God Bless you and your family and I will pray for you!

We dream about what we worry about. Whether or not it's your husband your scared of losing or your dogs, you have fear of losing a very great love in your life. Your probably closer to your dogs than your husband which is why your fears for him are being translated onto them. Hold your babies, love them, and never let them go.

it seems llike your concerns for your husband are being processed in your dreams as relating to your dogs- whom you also love. the dog in a plastic bag is probably symbolic of a body bag. yoy are worried about husband. and you feel helpless.
