I was getting the mail out of my mailbox this morning and 3 weiner dogs from across the street started to run at me barking. I could tell from the way their ears were flapping they were galloping fast. I barely made it to the house and grabbed my glock and 12 gauge to confront them. I opened fire on them before they got to me and one of them licked me. No doubt it was looking for an artery to sink it's fangs into so I wrestled it and it lunged for my face. I used my combat knife to bring it down. I never felt so close to death but now the owners are trying to sue me. Can they do that given how vicious they probably were? I have no doubt they intended to bring me down as weiner dogs are pack hunters.

For a bogus question, you are getting a lot of answers.

You should sue them the owners for the emotional distress and trauma of having to defend yourself from a pack of weiner dogs. It is not telling what they would have done to you if you had not been armed. You should tour the country for the NRA and expose the unknown problem of packs of rampaging weiner dogs and that everyone should be armed.

Jared
You made it to your house.
Instead of grabbing your gun, you should have
grabbed the telephone. Called the SPCA, for advice,
and the dogs owner if you knew their name, to warn
them they were breaking the leash law, and you
were reporting their dogs for attacking you.
If SPCA won't help you, then you call the Cops.
Wiener dogs, what did they do, take you down by
your ankle? Wow, that's some low shooting.

i agree with you but i'm sure you were mistaken these were weiner's mixed with some pit in them or they would not have attacked. golly glad you're ok. i once ran and hid from a pack of wild boston terriers for weeks. how did the pack of pugs that was chasing you last night work out? were you successful with them too?

hey patti duke weren't you the one last night saying to kill all pit bulls. but a little cute doggie attacking a poor man at his mailbox is funny? proves my point that's for sure.

I'm suing you for the emotional distress of reading such a stupid post.

Edit: I liked your answer on that honda question. I also hate the idiots who think those piles are fast. My Supra eats them for lunch nearly every day. But then so did my '86 Plymouth Reliant!! roflol!!!

Wow, I think you will have nightmares the rest of your life and you should be looking for financial relief for the counseling you will require. Just the mere fact that you will never again be able to enjoy a camp fire, toasting wienies is basis for millions in restitution. Good grief...these animals are out out of control. Thank goodness you are safe and sound.

Well now weiner dogs will be added to "Dangerous Dogs" list. I to believe self-defense and unleashed dogs will play a good hand for your "suffering".

I think you are full of it and just trying to get a rise out of ppl and " wiener " dogs are burrow hunting dogs . so unless your mail box was in a hole or burrow i don't think they were "hunting " you
