These puppies are part AKC and I have a solid white, red and white with a black mask , both females and then I have one solid black and a black with a white ring around the neck, which are both males. I would like to know what I should charge and at what age can I sell them. Right now they are just over a week old.

How are they only part AKC? Are the puppies registerable themselves? If not, you really can't charge all that much. Could but wouldn't get it. Please do not allow the puppies to go home before the very earliest at 8 weeks old. Ideally 12 weeks.

Chihuahuas should not be weaned until they are 5-6 weeks of age; this means starting at 4 weeks you can offer a puppy mush (esbilac weaning formula, canned puppy food and granular weaning formula or crushed dry puppy food). But again, no weaning until 5-6 weeks of age. Please keep in mind that mother and puppies should have fresh water available at all times.

When you start the weaning process, it is important that the puppies have fresh food and water available at all times. Moreovoer, during the weaning process the puppies should not be left alone for more than a couple of hours. Chihuahua puppies are prone to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and occurs when the puppies are not eating or not eating well but expending energy...takes very little time to happen. Thus it is important that they are monitored closely during this time.

Chihuahua puppies should not be placed any earlier than 12 weeks as you want to be sure they have had no problems with the weaning process, are a little bigger and sturdier and have been vet checked twice. Make sure during the vet checks you also bring in a stool sample and get the puppies wormed (the dosage is done by weight).

They should recieve their first puppy vaccine at 8 weeks, the second at 12 weeks and the third at 16 weeks. Chihuahua puppies, as with most small dogs, should NEVER get more than one vaccine at once. That means the rabies and second puppy vaccine should be given a week apart.

Lastly, these puppies are not "AKC" as they cannot be AKC registered. Thus one parent being registered means nothing. Therefore, make sure you screen well and find good homes, but do not charge.

A reputable breeder assumes a responsibility for a dog the moment it comes into the world. That means that they will screen their potential buyers well, will include a "Do Not Abandon" and spay/neuter clause in the contract, and will be there to answer any questions the puppy buyer has, be it then or 10 years from the purchase of the puppy. The assumption is that by choosing to bring that litter into the world, they are choosing to be responsible for that puppy and ensure it has a good home its entire life.

If you are not breeding for the betterment of the breed with the breed standard in mind and are not showing, and cannot provide this level of responsibilty, than you have no business breeding. Please spay and/or neuter your chihuahuas. There are too many unwanted dogs in the world.

Don't sell them until they're at least 7 weeks old. They need their mom until that age. The normal price to sell AKC's are around $250(males) or $300(females).

How are they only part AKC? You should not adopt them out until at least 8 weeks. Maybe you should have done some research on breeding before you did it.

There is NO SUCH thing as "part AKC". If both parents are not AKC registered, the puppies are NOT either.
Clearly you know ZERO about the whole thing. Just another BYB. Puppies for profit. Mutts for money. Breeding for bucks.

Its CHI Hua Hua - Is that why they are only "part" cause you can only partly spell it for the paperwork. I needed a laugh thank you

There is a dumba.ss out there waiting to give you cash. They'll believe whatever you want them to. Charge as much as you want. But please get them spayed and neutered before you sell them.

well i have an akc pure bred chihuahua...from the pet store he was $500....but that is with papers and all....if they are only part akc they wouldn't go for as much....but around where i live in the paper and stuff you can find them for about $250 so my guess is that is about as good as you'll get...

You should not have bred your female at all since you seem to know very little about their care.Don;t you realize how many unwanted dogs are in this country already and you have just added to it.
