Give him a tap on the neck/chest area with your hand, and tell him "quiet". Not a smack, but use the tip of your fingers, and make sure it's strong, but not hard. That usually works for attention grabbing, barking, whining, and other noisey natures. Do you have him sitting in the front seat? If so, you might want to move him to the back seat, and not let him in the front. At least until he stops barking.

If that doesn't work, then you might want to stop putting him in the car, or if you have to(for vet or groomers), then put him in a crate, THEN put him in the car. That way he'll know that there's nothing he can do about the car stopping.

Basic Training of the Puppy - Read here https://tr.im/MXChN

The new puppy is certainly one of the most adorable and cuddly creatures that has ever been created. It is the most natural thing in the world to shower it with love and affection. However, at the same time it is important to realize that if you want to have a well trained adult dog, you need to begin the training process right away. The dog, like its related ancestor, the wolf, is a pack animal. One of the features of a pack is that it has a single dominant leader. Your new puppy is going to want that leader to be you, but if you do not assume that role from the very beginning, the puppy’s instincts will push him to become the leader.

The most important thing to remember about training the puppy during its first six months of life is that it must see you as the leader of the family pack. The essential thing is gaining the trust and the respect of the puppy from the beginning. You will not do this by allowing the puppy to do whatever it wants to do whenever it wants to do it. On the other hand, a certain amount of patience is required. Most people err in their early training by going to extremes one way or the other. Although you need to begin the basic training process at once, you can not expect your dog to do too much at first. Basic obedience training is fine and should include simple commands like sit, stay, and come. Remember that trying to teach the dog advanced obedience techniques when it is a puppy is much like trying to teach a five year old child algebra.

It is also important to restrain from cruel or abusive treatment of the puppy. You can not beat obedience into your dog, and it certainly is not going to engender feeling of respect and trust. House breaking is an area where this usually becomes a problem because of the anger that is triggered when the puppy fails and creates a mess inside the home. Although this issue must be addressed without anger, it most be addressed. If you allow the puppy to eliminate inside the house, it will continue to do so as an adult dog. The same thing is true of other destructive or dangerous behavior such as chewing and biting. Do not expect the puppy to grow out of it. You are going to need to train the puppy out of it, but you should do so firmly but with a sense of play and fun using positive reinforcement and lots of love and praise for good behavior.

yep a you Grab the top part of the upper lip and gently squeeze it into his / her top K9 teeth, while squeeze the lips to the teeth tell the dog No.
Every time the Dog barks you will do this telling him / her no and they will pick up very fast not to bark.
This Technique is used because HITTING is not allowed. Also simply yelling doesn't work you need to use a Correction along with a Deep hard NO so they know they have just been scolded.

I have said this time and time again, Dogs are like Children, without any sort of discipline they are wild. So they need to be taught. Once you teach them Basic Obedience they will live a happier life and become more Obedient and will also do less Obnoxious stuff

Use to train dogs .

I read somewhere that you should sit in the car for a while with the dog when it is stationary and then do something really boring. Apparently they attribute the car to going somewhere exciting so you have to retrain them that it isn't always the case. I used to have a collie x that leaped about in the car - she would do it no matter how long the journey and was known to jump around for over 200 miles. We were close to screaming by the time we got to our destination! Good luck!

it really is going to be complicated thinking you've been ignoring the problem for 9 years. that's going to likely be very complicated to the canines to right away not manage to bark at each and every thing. i'd sudgest clicker preparation. Take the problem one step at a time. First, prepare your canines so she is conscious the clicker ability something solid (a take care of) then after your canines recognizes the clicker with the take care of/goodthing you may commence to coach her with the barking problem. placed her in a concern at the same time as she barks, as an party, someone entering the domicile. Take it very sluggish. First, have the guy knock/ring a door bell. on each and every occasion she barks you would possibly want to punish her after I say punish her I propose do something to her that she would not like. you would possibly want to placed her in yet another room and close the door (if she would not like being on my own) or make a noise that she would not like the "punishment" is as a lot as your canines and something that you've talked about that she doesnt like. at the same time as "punishing" her say a company "no" or regardless of you've educated her to attraction to close she has done something incorrect. After a minute or 2 take her out of the punishment and commence over with the door. this may take sometime so i'd recomend Doing it a lot as conceivable. Slowly have the guy enter threw the door and close it, everytine your canines barks putting her into the punishment then you truly can placed your canines into different circumstances that she barks in and repeat the technique. on each and every occasion she enable's someone interior the door (or regardless of it really is) with out barking click the clicker and substances her a take care of. you'll opt for to makesure she would not bark in circumstances more desirable then once, and replacing to human beings entering the door (or regardless of your doing) do not convey yet another canines into the domicile until eventually your first is educated correct. and confirm that your new canines is educated early at the same time as it really is a domestic dog. solid success!

get a shock collar. it sounds cruel, but trust me, it's not. just a small weak zap right when they start barking. most collars also come with a beeping noise that can be heard. All you need to do is zap them along with the beeping noise. Then, after a few zaps (only do one zap at each stop, continuous zaps are ineffective) just use the beeping noise. This will be associated with the zap, and they will not bark.

first you learn to spell Shih-tzu.
Then try squirting him with a water pistol when he starts. Ideally though you will train it to be quiet on commend. You could also buy a humane anti bark collar which emits a loud whistle when he barks.
